Everybody talks about Pacquiao's legs but nobody mentions his freakishly huge wrist. For a 5.5 man, Pacquiao's wrist size is 8 inches. The same size as Tyson and Joe Louis.

The truth is in the pudding. When he fought the little Pacman he was on retreat through out the night but with the heavier and bigger Canelo, Shane goes forward throughout 12 rounds. In general, he's a forward and offensive fighter until he collided with Manny. That right there shows how great Manny is.
He said his Achilles was popped in that fight and he wasn't 100%. He gave Manny his credit on his punching power tho. Floyd Mayweather was a smarter fighter and more skilled than Pacquiao so the truth was in the pudding after Floyd easily beat Manny.

Shane ought to remember that Manny was coming to him and he was running, in which case it would be easier to "touch him". Floyd didn't chase Shane and never takes a risk, hence Shane's face showing no signs of being hit, while after fighting Pac his cheeks were coming up to meet his eyebrows.
Because Floyd didn't chase Shane or hit him as much then Shane wouldn't have evaded the punches Floyd threw as well as he avoided Pac's from who he ran.

Sugar Shane was one of my favorite fighters. Class act in all aspects of boxing, and a great boxer....

Good interview. Pac doesnt get credit for timing and accuracy. They think hes just some wild guy who throws but his ko and kds of all the fighters he faces is due to the punch landing on a good spot.
Smack on the chin, temple when the guy is moving into the punch is where the power comes from. If the guy is moving away it doesnt matter how strong u are you wont hurt them. Its their own momentum that does the damage.

U have to consider also where the punch landed. Same force applied on a 2 certain punches might have different effect. You have to punch the weak spot to get a knockdown or KO. Perfect land has a greater chance.

@@DaveN80 I agree that they don’t expect punches from the angles that he throws them. It’s the punches that you don’t see coming that hurt you. But I’ve seen Pacquiao push good fighters back with off balance shots. Pacquiao is not an extremely technically sound boxer. He has cleaned up some of the mistakes he made early in his career, but still his technique is not always crisp. He can still hurt you with “arm” punches he doesn’t even torque into. He’s a unique boxing talent. He kind of reminds me of a smaller kind of Roy Jones Jr. type of talent.
Pacquiao hit him and de la Hoya with so many combos they didn't have time to feel the power Pacquiao had. They get hit with one punch then before they can think about how it felt boom another 😂

Abt his comment on Pacquiao match- Amazing to know that each punch/ boxer punch has unique character , I thought a punch is a punch like a generic hard blow.
It's because the wrist bone of pacquiao measures 8 inches as against Mosley's 6 inches, that explains the hammer like power of manny. Ask the scientists that made the study regarding Manny Pacquiao's bone mass and its effect on his punches.

To me it comes down to whether or not Floyd's jab has the power to hold Manny at bay. Unlike other fighters, Manny tends to keep punching even while he gets hit and he punches with power punch flurries almost nonstop. And to me he has the best straight left hand in the sport. So considering that Maidana could stay so close to Floyd throughout their first bout being WAY slower and WAY less skilled than Manny, unless Mayweather's jab can affect Pacquiao the way Buster Douglas' did Mike Tyson, i see this fight being hell for Floyd.

The only things I can disagree with is when he said Floyd gets cocky in the ring. If that was so, Floyd would've knocked Shane out in their fight, because after Shane had his little highlight, Floyd picked him apart & had Shane looking like the walking dead. Floyd either showed mercy or didn't want to take the chance of going for the KO like in most of his fights. & after that clean shot from Marcos, etc., all of the chin questions should be answered. LOL! Now he was injured. If you watch that sequence in the Floyd fight again. You will see that Floyd took back control of the fight before the second round ended, Then he began daring Mosley ti throw the punch again in the 3rd round. And every time Mosley threw the right hand he got countered.

A super quick even half punch straight on front of the chin can make you silly or knock you out better than big punches which don't land on the chin or jaw . Most boxers weather punches well above the jaw and chin on the head . The chin is the most sensitive spot on any man . It is connected by nerves to the brain which can make your brain try to turn itself off when you get hit straight on the chin without tons of power behind it . Now a solid punch to the side of the Jaw like Marquez knocked out Pacquiao stone cold , those can do some serious brain damage . Your head turns but your brain in a delayed reaction , follows inside your skull and actually move around in your cranium (skull) and that is frightening .
Shane came out way too tight against Floyd. Against Pac he came out nice and relaxed and looked good until a straight left by Pac put him down. After that he fought not to get knocked out instead of fighting to win.
He also had Floyd in serious trouble in the second round. Floyd was smart and did his run and gun after that..

Thats because Pacquiao hit you in an awkward angle where youre not in a position to defend yourself and anticipating that punch. even a normal puncher can KO you if youre not expecting him to punch you.
Of course you can hit pacquiao as his style is a fighter to get hit then hit you a lot more. Mayweather on the other hand is a boxer hit and not get hit. But he does get hit. Mosley got too excited when he landed a good one on mayweather that he forgot the fight plan. Pacquiao knocked him down that he was on defensive for the remainder of the fight. He even lost track of 6 rounds after round 3.
Both Pacquiao’s and Mosley’s career is based on steroids though and that’s a known fact in the industry. It’s also a known fact Mayweather made the fight happen and Pacquiao didn’t want to take a blood test because his career was based on steroids. The funny thing is Mayweather boxed Pacquiao right after this bout and did what everyone knew he could.

Mayweather won ever single round after that 2nd round against Mosley handily. Mayweather was just feeling Mosley out in the first couple of rounds to see what he was going to do and that's when Mosley used that touch jab to the body followed by that right hand to chin and it worked initially early in the fight but Mayweather adjusted right away after he got hurt but i think Pacquiao looked better against Mosley then Mayweather did because Pacquiao didn't get hurt at all by Mosley and won probably every round and knocked Mosley down
