The event is not an accurate recreation of the attack and here's why. The development team added the carriers to the map is because it's a test flight map for the US faction. Secondly Pearl Harbor didn't have any naval fighter aircrafts instead Pearl Harbor mainly had squadrons of P-40 Warhawks for the defense and Pearl Harbor also had (PBY Cats and B-17s) but they were destroyed during the first wave. Thirdly Pearl Harbor had a flotilla of PT boats that did participate in the defense of Pearl Harbor and the main fleet of the US Navy other than the carriers.
