"Gnoming" actually started long before 1986... I remember seeing a guest on the Tonight Show (with Johnny Carson) with her traveling gnome and stack of pictures while in college (probably in the Fall of 1975 or Spring of 1976). Was the funniest thing I'd ever heard of back then!

I used to walk by that mystery vending machine every day. One day, I took a job that required me to be there at 5:30 AM, and I would walk by that machine before sunrise. I was actually disappointed when I saw someone loading it. I wanted to believe that no one ever opens it, but I can confirm that someone was loading it once or twice a week; between 4:30 AM and 5:00 AM.
I'm guessing they bought a warehouse containing old soda but instead of disposing of them they stocked a vending machine until there was no stock left.
I've heard from someone that claims to know the pickle person.... It's a memorial type thing. A loved one who LOVED pickles passed away in an accident there and they've gone back to leave pickles. They don't do it in secret and aren't sure how they haven't been caught on camera because they know they've been seen doing it. The person I spoke to may have been full of shit but I live near there, the person lived in that city their whole life and this is what they told me.
I actually cannot believe this has come this full circle. I've lived in New Jersey all my life and when I was younger my parents had separate custody of me and every weekend my dad would drive me an hour to his house and every time we always passed that water tower at 18:57. I always was curious as to who wrote it and thought it might have been a brand, I was very little at the time. But now many years later I see this video pop up in my recommended blew my mind lol
Very similar story to mine brother..you can find mad shit on those taggers even on RUclips I think 🤔 anyway yea they're everywhere all over Jersey like allll over A/C CMD Trenton yea even Philly and obviously North Jersey
Hes a known graffiti artist from Philly, but you can see his tags all over the east coast.. He used to write "Kid" but he owes the city of Philadelphia so much money from property damage, that he now writes "4ever".. Hes part of the ESC crew, u can google or youtube to find out more if u want.. But i swear them dudes are in their 40s and still tagging lmao
I live in Alberta Canada. When I was in highschool over 15 years ago. We used to walk along the main road to get to the school. And along the way we would always start finding these random little Christian comic books all over the place. Tied to poles slid inside cracks of bud stops places on fences, the most random spots. It would only happen once in a while also. After a month goes by my friend started noticing them pop up in other places in the city also. We thought it would be neat if we could catch who was doing it, so we decided to start taking the bus to school MUCH earlier. 5am most days. We started noticing even that new comics were set out already. So we tried for a little earlier. But same thing. We never did catch who was doing it, but the comics would show up randomly throughout the night.
That is what i meant yeah, but are you sure 80ties is wrong? English is my third language , so honestly, you probably are right. Greetings from the Netherlands!
Reminds me of the SCP vending machine with a keyboard that would give you 16 ounces of whatever you asked for if it is even possible for it to be liquid
As a New Jersey resident. PK KID is one of the biggest mysteries but at the same time amazing on how they reach these hard to get locations. You can see most tags on the Turnpike and on the Northeast Corridor Trains if you are paying close attention
I am always in AWE when I see tags in the most out of reach areas.. it takes my mind on a beautiful journey of HOW!!! Down in Louisiana we don’t have much tagging, you are lucky to live in a state with such beautiful art!
I used to live only a couple blocks away from the Seattle soda machine. It was just feet away from a very busy street called Broadway. I got a soda outta there once but it wasn't anything special. I always just assumed it was put there by the locksmith.
The fact that there were no records of there being a vending permit from the city for the location explains why the locksmith says he has no idea. If he said it was his, he'd be paying some fines. I can't believe the narrator didn't put 2 and 2 together lol
I don't believe the bit about the soda machine dispensing defunct soda flavors. Contrary to popular opinion, soda doesn't last forever in a can. You're looking at about a year before flavor and carbonation start to degrade. If the machine vended a can of Josta or something, it would be disgusting to drink. For the record, I lived around Capitol Hill in the late 90's and I have visited this vending machine. I got a 7-UP and my friend got a Dad's Root Beer.
@@joshuasorenson6053 you do know it just gets restocked after a certain amount of time right just no one sees it that’s what adds to the mystery of the machine duh 🙄
In the late 80's & all through the 90's I was pretty heavily in the graffiti seen in NYC. One day on Staten Island I met a guy named Peter King who claimed to be PK. I won't go into much detail but I had no reason to doubt him. Lets just say that we engaged in some illegal activity together. I was about 16 or 17 at the time & he was probably about 10 years older than me back then. Kid & PK have been tagging since the 80's at least. I am 43 now so PK is most likely in his early to mid 50's I would guess but every once in a while I see a new spot hit. It's not often but it seems that he still has the need to get his adrenaline fix.
So because I spelt a word wrong I am a lier...ok great reasoning. I have no reason to lie. I wouldn't wast my time. I'm not even sure why I am wasting my time to explain myself to trolls.
Considering one of the main appeals of that mystery vending machine seems to be its stock of discontinued and obscure sodas, perhaps the reason it suddenly disappeared one day was because the person operating it ran out of their stock. And since the sodas were discontinued, it was impossible to restock, and the person thought it would be an affront to the machine's reputation to start stocking it with exclusively conventional items.

Here in Detroit I knew some graffiti artist they had a bucket lift on the back of their truck and used it to do graffiti with. Here's the the thing about the meat, what if someone climbed up a ladder onto the roof, put the meat up there, stomped, and left the other meat on the ground?
I think the owners took the soda machine away thinking they'd be able to sell it for a lot of money but no one was interested so they've decided to put it back. Lol.
It seems more likely to me that they ran out of the usual rare cans they stocked and so put it in storage while also ordering various unique/limited cans from around the world, hence also posting a series of images of the vending machine travelling to different locations across the world while they work on securing and transporting various different types of cans. So when the machine returns there's an appropriate theme and story behind why it's stock changed.
That story about the gnomes going on short holidays reminds me of a story section in a book by Australian author, Andy Griffiths. In his book ‘Just Annoying’, the chapter ‘Wish you weren’t here’ includes a story where the protagonist, named Andy, borrows his neighbour Mrs. Scott’s garden gnome and takes it to Mildura to take photos of it for a friendly prank. Long story short, the gnome ends up in a wood chipper. An ending worthy of Stephen King.
As always, I appreciate the extra effort you guys put into making the narration for your videos. You went the extra mile in making and reconstructing your sentences to insert as much puns as you can. Lmao. Thanks!
The gnome one sounds like a prank that I’ve read about in “101 cool practical jokes”. Basically you take a friend’s favourite toy and give it to someone who is going on a holiday, or you can do it yourself, though your friend might guess that you’re playing a joke on them. Then, you give the person a bunch of envelopes and stamps so that they can send photos of the toy back to your friend. Whoever is sending the photos should write some kind of message at the back, like “Here I am at the Grand Canyon , wish you were here.” When the toy is brought back from holiday, place it outside your friend’s front door. This prank is called “Holiday Snaps”

There’s a mystery surrounding a house in my town. Supposedly, an old lady used to live there with her cats (9 of them). She passed away and no one knew as she was very reclusive. Nonetheless, the cats got hungry and… we’ll use your imagination. While it is confirmed she died there and had cats, the only evidence is the nine cat skeletons found in the house once they finally went inside.

For about a year and 3 months, there was, every day, 2 loads of sourdough bread that would mysteriously appear on the side of a popular road in my local area. Nobody ever knew where it came from or where it ended up disappearing to at night. This mystery was really confusing and still hasn’t been solved, it’s baffled many in my local area, especially since sourdough bread is quite expensive where I am. And the thought of someone willingly just wasted such expensive bread, was weird.

I did a senior prank where I drew hearts on every car back window in the high school parking lot. And I watched people come out, some left it on their cars the rest of the year but I watched some of the Mexican guys with their decked out cars come out livid and used their shirts to wipe them off. 😂 I watched the hearts go all around town, and no one knows it was me except for my two friends.
I think they sell _window markers_ (they don't ruin the window or anything & are easy to get off) at a store close to me, maybe I can try this to a friends car or something
The pickle thing is actually easy to explain, a friend of mine died on the road and his girlfriend lays his favorite food out for him. someone nearby tried to make a big deal out of it claiming it to be something ghostly before she explained that she was leaving it as an offering for him. she chose to go around the time of his death 5:43 am so it would be hard to spot someone if you're not doing a 247 watch or something. At least that's what i can understand the pickle thing as, his gf would leave out burger king but a specific kind of burger that he loved a lot and would always get. Shes done it for 2 years and i met her by accident one day, i already knew her but had to ask. So while not ghostly, it was still sent as a tribute for his passing. And honestly heck, i would also do something like that if my lover passed on. Tho maybe to his grave xD
Soon as I heard about the pickle thing this was my first guess. People that lose loved ones in traffic accidents often set up memorials at the sight of the accident or leave offerings from time to time for them. Even if police do catch them they usually do not bother the person as when the accident is mentioned the police either know of it or can quickly pull up information about it and it's just that persons way of dealing with the grief no harm no foul kinda thing.

Mystery meat: Possibly someone threw it, or maybe catapulted it. Pickles: A real-life Bubble Bass (thief) may have stolen it and the police kept bringing it back and the thief kept stealing it; an infinite steal-return chain. Hanging Honda: Cancelled mission to pull a seemingly crashed car up from the ground. After they found out the car was intact, they cancelled the mission. Leopold the Gnome: Maybe a world adventurer brought him around the world. The Leatherman's Corpse: May have been stolen by resurrection men. PK Kid graffiti: Maybe it really was Diego. Max Headroom hijack: TV hacker or fatal error. Maybe the Max Headroom face was a screensaver. The Potato Phantom: Maybe a man was mailing bowls of mashed potatoes for fun.

I live a large town or small city.. over the last 20-30 years we’ve had several homeless people drown in the creek that runs through our town. The odd thing is that many of these homeless people have been found with only the head neck and chest being under water. I personally believe that there is a serial killer in Rapid City, South Dakota. Targeting homeless people and drowning them in the creek and they call home. There has been 10+ drownings over the last 20-30 years all with the victim being found head and neck deep in a creek or small river with only their lower body exposed.
Now that is very disturbing!!. Sounds like there is a serial killer or maybe a duo, who work together so that they can subdue their victims more easily.

Sounds reasonable, to me.👍👍‼️
I've heard from someone that claims to know the pickle person....
That makes sense. 🤔🤔🙏🏾🙏🏾

Yes I’ve seen that tower too... it’s all over there place. I grew up in Monmouth county and it was there, NY and it’s even in Philadelphia

Fun fact: the mystery soda machine has been found and is actually modeled to a somewhat updated look and still has mystery flavors
Where is it now?
Wait where? Same place?
Bro respond
I don't believe the bit about the soda machine dispensing defunct soda flavors. Contrary to popular opinion, soda doesn't last forever in a can. You're looking at about a year before flavor and carbonation start to degrade. If the machine vended a can of Josta or something, it would be disgusting to drink.
For the record, I lived around Capitol Hill in the late 90's and I have visited this vending machine. I got a 7-UP and my friend got a Dad's Root Beer.

From the ground onto a roof? Maybe if it was in a strong bag and they used the trebuchet technique.

I think the owners took the soda machine away thinking they'd be able to sell it for a lot of money but no one was interested so they've decided to put it back. Lol.
Yeah seems more like an SCP then a soda machine XD

Borrowed the idea from those creative Australians and the movie Fargo. Unless your book predates those events?

Even if police do catch them they usually do not bother the person as when the accident is mentioned the police either know of it or can quickly pull up information about it and it's just that persons way of dealing with the grief no harm no foul kinda thing.
rest in peace. what a sweet gesture

There has been 10+ drownings over the last 20-30 years all with the victim being found head and neck deep in a creek or small river with only their lower body exposed.
to think that whoever this serial killer drowning homeless people all in the same way is still unknown gives me serious creeps
Now that is very disturbing!!. Sounds like there is a serial killer or maybe a duo, who work together so that they can subdue their victims more easily.
