Two intresting things of note: the American T29, T30, and T34 heavies all use the Pershing Chassis as a base. Also the T26E1-1 has part of the vertical gun travers on the top of the tank making it prone to destruction, while not useful to do in most situations it can be very detrimental when engaging on hilly terrain
the T34 has that amazingly massive engine too that makes it way quicker then an almost 66 ton tank should ever be. It's like the super pershing except more armor and bigger gun combined with a much more powerful engine
Well the T29/T30/T34 Heavies don't actually use the Pershing Chassis. The designers rather just used it as a starting baseline. The hull was significantly lengthened and widened to better suit the massive and quite thick cast turret meant to house the 105mm/150mm/120mm guns respectively. They also drastically increased the thickness and slope of the armor which while the slope is represented the increased thickness is not. The US Army listed the "Basis Thickness", the term at the time for effective thickness, of the Upper Glacis at 228.6mm but in game the thickest you're looking at is 160-180mm depending on whether or not they hit the track links on the front of the hull. To get such a thickness at the angle listed the plate would need to be 127.5mm thick.
The M26/46 was a great tank series that did its job phenomenally. The M60 being only truly retired in the mid to late 90's is a true testimony to the power and reliability of the design and philosophy of the Pershing/Patton lineup.

The Italian M26A1 is superior. The 90/50 gun it uses is very punchy at its BR. Also take into account how surprisingly resilient it is and you have a godsend of a tank.

Gaijin has refused to make this the case since the tank has been introduced years ago. In game T33 Shot performs worse than the shell it was explicitly designed to replace in US service. That earlier shell, M82 Shot, still being capable of punching through at 300m. However, in the game unless you are firing APCR you cannot punch through the Panther's Upper Glacis at all and even then you can only do so at very short range. This is the clearest cut case of bad shell modeling in the entire game and has been proven definitively wrong yet they refuse to fix it even when given official US Department of Defense documents on the testing of the 90mm gun. They either do not care or simply don't want to give the 90mm it's historical performance.

Is it me or does the AP for the M26 and M103 not do as much spalling as it did before? Also the T33 shell not penning even though it was made clearly for the Panthers, and the use of early M82 shells across the board instead of having m82 late as well. The M103 HEATFS and AP barely affecting the crew in the King Tiger 2 even though it was made to fight against the IS3?
I noticed a lot of the IS tanks have the same weakness. Shoot at the lower plate that houses the transmission and it should die. This may not work on the later variants.

It is 2 days ago I use it 10 rounds full up-tier every time then switch to the jumbo 76 instant full down tier yet equip both first match 140sp second match full down tier only when you equip the jumbo can you get a down tier

On paper the Italian Pershing is very good for its 90mm gun. But being able to utilize that gun is far easier said than done with how big the tank is, and how soft the armor against the guns of the tanks you'll be facing. The slow speed and very loud distinct engine makes moving from one place to another difficult. You can think of it as a big Chaffee but slower.
Just wanna say I like the new way the tech trees are sorted. The foldering we've all wanted is very helpful and the way some vehicles moved to other lines is also cool

The Super Pershing designation in the game is wrong. To create the Super Pershing, The US took the first T26E1 prototype, which is where the T26E1-1 designation came from, and modified to create the Super Pershing. After the modifications, the official designation for the specific Super Pershing model used in War Thunder was T26E4 Temporary Pilot No.1 which is sometimes referred to as T26E4 T26E4-1. The standard T26E4 had slightly different modifications such as the T15E2 90mm gun that used 2 piece ammo, and an internal hydropneumatuc equilibrator that replaced the external equilibrator springs on top of the turret, and the lack of the extra armor on the front of the hull and the front and sides of the turret.
Since T25's BR has been 6.3 for some time now, any chance you give back its stabilizers? No? Reduce the BR then, it's useless, M26 is much better at the same BR, I'd say T25 is on par with M4/T26 now 2:51 plus it's BS if a 6.3 medium tank can easily be destroyed by 5.7 medium tanks, 6.0 is good

on another subject, what's with the changes in the maps like the 38th parallel, the american desert and normandy.. you guys removed the sniping area(what was Cpoint) in normandy if you spawn on the south and the sniping areas(2 of them) when you spawn on the north right hand side of the map in the 38th parallel.. while the american desert, you put a bldg blocking the northern team shooting into the southern teams access to A(or what was A back then).. its like you want players to mix it up all the time.. what gives coz I like old maps more?

I remember when the t-26e1-1 was as first added it was a beast to face as its armor was actually useful back then. But now it’s just a shell of what it once was sure it’s gun is still pretty strong but back then when I was playing my tiger 2 I had to actually use some strategy to kill it but now I just need to look at it and click. Real shame too because it was one reason I decided to grind the US tech tree again but now I just don’t use it anymore.

@@eaaglee_ The 7.7 version of the tank. The BR is 7.7. That means you can get up to 8.7 tanks. And some of those tanks get darts.
T26E5 is a must have! I don't have enough words do describe how good it is
