Chef Faizan, Salam and love from Bangladesh. Me and my family loves to watch Flavors of Persia. Palla is called “ Ilish (الیش)” in Bangladesh, it's our national fish. You can also cook curry from it.The most interesting thing is even if you just use turmeric, salt to marinate and slightly red pepper, it will taste great.If you marinate with salt and make curry also tastes great.And if you like use cook Musterd Palla Curry, it will also taste great ( palla curry with mustard paste, we make paste in Shil - pata. It is a flat stone,where we put masterd seed than a little water,than with another stone we make it's paste.You can use also blender but if you make paste on stone, taste of masala will increase a lot). As a Bangladeshi and Ilish ( palla) lover, I must say, We Bangladeshi are not a lots of fish lover but Ilish or Palla lover, next come Rahu. Just make the curry either with mustard or anything. I am sure you will love curry.You can also use potato, tomato, brinjal, potol ( pointed guard) etc. If you simply marrinate with turmeric,salt,little red chilli powder and than make a curry, no problem at all. You can even use curd,poppy seeds too.To cook Palla curry, you are free to use any vegetables or masala.
