The Coily Rattler's sound effects haunt my brain to this day. Not to mention their extremely cruel grab attack. That said, these sets of bosses flow so well, it has one of my favourite boss rushes out there. Both of the 3DS games have such a good flow and pace. Fast enough where skill can really reward even no ability runs. Soul of Sectonia is absolutely genius. The normal game didnt defeat her either after her flower fight, requiring a hypernova reflected laser. So this was such a great moment to fight her face to face in the true arena as well.
2 things: 1) I completely forgot most of the first-time boss cutscenes. 2) Did anyone else used to get star points on the pre-masked dedede room on the final stage, cuz on my save I eventually stopped getting them.
12:10 Coily rattler is actually not un predictable, instead coily rattler like a robot follows a pattern for both fights, it may seem random, you may notice it in the short phase 1, he always use all the attacks before looping, and though it seems so in phase 2, where he will repeat attacks, and use variations, and DX and normal are different patterns, but he will use the same attacks in the same order.
Triple Deluxe has an absolutely stellar boss roster, and even might be my favorite in the entire series. And that's what makes Pyribbit stick out like a sore thumb even more. He stays in the background for FAR too long (there's even a video by skyguys documenting how often he stays in the background, which is about 60% of the fight iirc) which will ruin your day in True Arena runs or SKC Ordeal Quests. His attacks are annoying, but not difficult. And what does he do the moment he enters Phase 2? *He jumps into the background for an extended period of time. What an insult.* I will at least give him credit for not being a dragon boss in a fairy-tale-esque lava world (though points will be deducted for partially ripping off Fatty Puffer). Well, that's the stupid lava frog out of the way - let's talk about the actually good bosses. Flowery Woods is an amazing introductory boss to the main gimmick of TDX (and its sequel) - the background. It also has a surprising amount of attacks for a first boss which one may not know about due to how quickly you can defeat this overgrown sprout mole, which may be the reason for it returning in World 6 with its attack pattern altered to show the later attacks sooner. Paintra is cool, I like her design and her laugh reminiscent of Drawcia. The Squashini-like gimmick of "Guess the Fakes" is rather easy, but at least it's a nice idea. Probably the second-last boss in a theoretical ranking of mine, but that's still really good considering the fact that all (except one) of TDX's bosses are absolutely phenomenal. I really like what they did to Kracko. The usage of the background in this fight enhances it by a LOT, and its nice to see it have some new attacks too. Probably the hardest of the regular bosses too, funnily enough. Shoutouts to the 6-2 Dark Mind keychain - absolutely evil hiding spot. Next is Coily Rattler, the arch-nemesis of DExus and my favorite "regular" boss in the series. I don't know what it is, but just something about the fight I like. The Dyna-Blade-reminiscent gimmick of "only the head is vulnerable" is simple but effective (and also not annoying). Special shoutouts to his "grabs you on a ride to Sukhavati and back", it's always entertaining to watch. I also like his origin of being an idol worshipped by the People of the Sky - it gives him a bit more depth than your average "goober blocks your path" boss. Fun fact, did you know that he is one of the few Kirby bosses to start the fight on the left side? Onto the "special" bosses - the amazing fights only get better from here. Dedede's Royal Payback, need I say more. (Dededestroyer Z is still my favorite Mt. Dedede remix tho) It's a massive fanservice boss, and I'm all for it. The new attacks that the enraged king performs are a visual spectacle, and Taranza's puppeteering motions are kinda cute to watch, tbh. (might be biased since Taranza is my favorite Kirby character) An interesting theory is that the mask is actually a power limiter, as Taranza seems to be perfectly capable of mind-controlling Dedede without the mask, and breaking the mask actually makes Dedede more powerful. A very solid start to a great finale. Queen Sectonia's fight is one that starts off orderly and calm, the gradually reveals her insanity and no-nonsense attitude. In Phase 1, she uses quick, graceful magic and sword attacks. In Phase 2, she rapidly flies around and summons minions, whilst sending out attacks that hurt them. In Phase 3, she teleports even more erratically and summons waves of minions just to quickly kill them off with her barrage of attacks, a quality also seen with President Haltmann in PR, the sequel of TDX. It's a nice fight to set the tone of the finale. Shadow Dedede is the weird middle brother of the Nightmare Four, much like Wham Bam Jewel and Magolor EX. His fight is cool, being an enhanced version of Masked Dedede with some new attacks with a belly-mouth reminiscent of Possessed Dedede in DL3, but is imo a bit more forgettable than the other Three. Though I may be wrong, since apparently HAL liked the fight so much they made some tweaks to it to create King D-Mind, the final boss of TKCD. I really like Dark Meta Knight's Revenge. HAL turned what is possibly one of the most miserable fights in a mainline Kirby game to one of my favorite gameplay-wise for being visually cool and being (really) difficult but fair. *This* is how you do a boss remake right. Flowered Sectonia is a phenomenal final boss. Her design combines beauty and terror amazingly, her theme is tragic but full of energy, and your progress towards the queen herself with each new phase is, quite frankly, awesome. I really like that they went with that approach instead of going with a standard two-phase fight like with Crowned Magolor. The decision of have bottomless pits is daring, and I love it. The final 11th Hour Power is an spectacle, showcasing the ridiculous power of Kirby and the Miracle Fruir combined. The background switches perspective from a cold, uncaring moon to a bright, hopeful sun. It is perhaps the best QTE sequence in the whole series for being so triumphant and epic. This makes Soul of Sectonia have all the more impact. She eats *four* Miracle Fruits to revive herself, a terrifying concept as we saw from the finale of the main story just how powerful even one of those magical fruits are (though that may just be Kirby's unlocked potential shining through). The heart on her crown is symbolically black, and her petals are ragged. It is clear that this tragic queen is beyond saving. Her attacks are more deadly, but apart from potentiallt losing your copy ability or falling into a bottomless pit, the fight seems to just be buffed Sectonia, until... *...EXTRA PHASE???* This is one of the most brilliant moments of any Kirby boss. You watch in despair as the stubborn soul continues to cling on to life, fuelled by sheer rage and insanity. I actually have a theory that the extra phase is designed for a blind player to barely fluke, due to the nature of her attacks. They are actually much easier to dodge that it may appear - changing the camera perspective shows this very evidently. So in the end, it's as much of a spectacle fight as it is a fanservicey reference to Marx Soul and Drawcia Soul, but that does not detract from the fight, imo. It's still a despairing moment when you realize that the fight is not over, and the satisfaction from finally beating the True Arena is just as strong as ever.
I actually like Triple Deluxe way more than Planet Robobot, it has imo better bosses, I enjoy Queen Sectonia final boss more than Star Dream final boss, I actually enjoy the Hypernova and it's puzzles more than the Robobot Armor, I enjoy the levels more in Triple Deluxe, and I think the music is A LOT better throughout Triple Deluxe
Also you did a reaction video of it and disliked it. And unsubscribed to Nintendo and reported the September's Nintendo Direct for Spam and Misleading in your reaction video.
I'm honestly kinda tired of soul bosses at this point. They all just reuse the same attacks and it feels repetitive. I want something new in a soul boss that'll keep me on my toes

how do feel about future bosses re-using coily rattler's shout :troll:

Honestly, of the regular fights, I think I always found Coily Rattler to be the most difficult.
But, yeah, agreed with a lot of the points here
FOR GOTHAM 👹
I need to go to the batcave 🏎️
Batman needs his supplies 🤤
Shout out to the the normal boss theme for Triple Deluxe. Some of the best in the series.
The Hyperlands Weather Channel has located the Open Sign.
I'm gonna be replaying Triple Deluxe to see if I like it more than Planet Robobot
Excellent video
I love these Kirby bosses!

I think it'll be impossible to rank the Super Kirby Clash bosses
Hope this gets remade soon. Happy 10th
I know you. You're that person who keeps saying that TTYD is a remaster instead of a remake on Twitter and stuff.
Also you did a reaction video of it and disliked it.
And unsubscribed to Nintendo and reported the September's Nintendo Direct for Spam and Misleading in your reaction video.
I really hope your reaction video was satire.
I like how he shorten the names for some reason.
The chapters are auto-generated.
Next boss ranking is Toy Box hopefully 🙏
Dark Meta Knight's Revenge should be number 1.
Pyribbit is overhated.
Dark Meta Knight >>>
