    Thanks for posting this, a real blast from the past! The film of the AutoGyro is historically valuable as not many are in existence, This is a PCA-2 manufactured by the Pitcairn-Cierva company in 1929

      Bingo! Also known as a an XOP-1 by the US Navy. These images were shot in action during an air show over an open field in Stockton, California in 1931. Perhaps selling the attributes as a "crop dusting agricultural machine". It's wing registration is NC10761, same as the machine that landed and took off from the White House lawn in 1931 and possibly the same pilot, James G. Ray, based upon 'screen grabs' of the pilot taken from this film. The little boy wearing the flying goggles is the filmmaker's youngest son, Peter, and then (at the end of that sequence) we view his oldest son, Hart L Weaver, walking through the gathered crowd..

    At 7:25, this sequence appears to be at Oakland Municipal Airport on July 21, 1931.
