This is suddenly my favorite aerobatic video ever. There were some interesting unusual camera work, really neat closeup shots, especially the startup sequence, and the music also goes with it well. Nice use of Loreena McKennitt's music and the other fast-paced music, and the parts without music but just the engine noise. It gives it a great pace. You can really see the character of the planes and their pilots in this, I think. Dancing in the sky!
/Bowing head in admiration/ These video's hammer the message home again that most of us pilots can fly quite well, but that there is a very small group combining guts with skills taking flying an aircraft to undreamed levels....
I think you'll find the F15 first flew in 1972. The English Electric Lightning was accelerating vertically (reaching 36,000ft in 3 minutes) and in service in 1959. The sight of a lightning rolling a few hundred yards on full afterburner then climbing straight up from ground level was an incredible experience probably never to be repeated!
Thank you for informing us the name of this song! A long time I have been reviewing this video in order to hear from someone name this tune very pretty! Again, thank you!
Geez....Svetlana is as calm as she could be. 1:40....."ya...i got this....no problem". like shes changin lanes goin down the interstate. love to take a ride with her. :)
well, i dont know the exact data right now, but aerobatic planes are usually light weight, and have quite powerful engines. they also have symetric shaped wings, so they create no lift by themselves and you have to keep em in the air simply by trim.

Sometimes in this video, it looks like IMS, lol. And to think they don't lose control of their planes, even for a fraction of a second....they sure made it look otherwise. Fantastic!
If I would have seen these sport aircraft and pilots perform back in the 1950's when I was contemplating learning to fly....I'd of taken up golf instead. They ain't human.
Yes, i was able to accelerate while climbing. Acceleration is a vector. With the change in pitch, i am changing the aircraft vector. Therefore, the airplane sees an acceleration toward a higher altitude.
The propeller provides enough air for the flight controls behind it, so you can still have directional control while of cource loosing altitude. Only extreme aerobatic aircrafts can do this ;)
@makikoti47 Yep, Svetlana Kapanina fly Su-31, Peter Besenyei Extra 300, I'm not sure where did you see Klaus Scrodt, but the next "most" visible pilot from this vid is Jurgis Kairys(Litvenia) flying Su-26 with "Citizen" sponsor insignia, and performing his signature take off into "Kobra" and also a flat spin...
This is from wikipedia: "The Lightning possessed a remarkable climb rate. It was famous for its ability...to climb almost vertically away from the runway, though this did not yield the best time to altitude. The Lightning's trademark tail-stand manoeuvre was a trade of airspeed for altitude; the aircraft would often slow to near-stall speeds..." That is not *vertical acceleration*, which the F-15 is capable of, having a total of 50,000lbs of thust, an empty weight of 28,000lbs, 45,000lbs loaded.
Okay, I know who does the very lovely music "Loreena McKennnit" what I am trying to find out is who is the artist and name of the upbeat music you here early into the flight at about 1:20

Такое вытворяют!! В это сложно поверить!!1 МОЛОДЦЫ!!!
I don't know what was cooler, the 3d flight, or the blue angels moment towards the end.
Impresionantes acrobacias. Grandes acrobatas son estos dos pilotos. Se puede ver en sus caras el efecto que produce la fuerza G.
Bleer, Deep Pan Pizza coming up without the base! Pampus would hit early sales targets with me onboard. Great video.
waoooww lovely, great flying.....
This is still the best flying video ever.
Здорово! Запредельное мастерство!

@ 2:31 that's just insane... god bless and cheers to them both :)
The theme for a PASSIONATE AEROBATIC 4:33 through 5:47
@tommi3520, the soundtrack is Loreena McKennitt - Prologue track 1 from the album Book of Secrets
The Silverstone Organisation was exceptional during a very rare aerobatic incident.
Sometimes in this video, it looks like IMS, lol.

@makikoti47 Thats true, i got tears in my eyes, one word: BEAUTIFUL!!!
That was gorgeous.
If you didn't laugh, it just means you appreciate the level of concentration it takes to fly like they do.
I agree, flyer203 -- I'd like to know the name of that music. Beautiful!
Incredible vid. Very well done to the flyers!

Unbelievable skills!
Спасибо очень красиво

@tommi3520 Svetlana´s aircraft is a Sukhoi Su-31. Peter is flying in an Extra 300S.

So beautiful
SVETLANA! THE MOST BEAUTYFULL PILOT IN THE WORLD! :D
They make these things look like radio controlled airplanes
Extreme and awesome
Damn great! At first look it seems as if those planes are so light they will never catch any stall or flatspin :D
@dergrossen
you´re not the only one who does
flying rockers ! 目が回る~
amazing
I wish Svietłana played with my joystick like that

This defeats any law of aerodynamics and physics!
Breathtaking sharp maneuvers below the fence height!
Monumental performance!
wow ... with a job like that you'd better not have a bad day at the office. Go Peter and Svetlana ... and the other guy.

Wow, she looks very calm. Almost non-chalant. Impressive.
Svetlana is my idol!
@jamba470 Who is the artist playing the pan flute with the real jazzy base accompiment ?

FANTASTICO!!
Totally awsome !!!! Would not want to get into dog fight with them -- i'd loose lol.
Lots of stick time !!
You know what all these pilots have in common? The big shit eating grin of having a whole lot of damn fun.
Here is proof that you can have balls of titanium even if your anatomy technically precludes it.
Impressive. It's quite better then the Red Bull show!!
Lilya Litvak 'The White Rose of Stalingrad' was a Russian woman fighter pilot, she shot down Germans
@SirFoggy2Doped
well done, isn´t it. Air as an element allows you to dance in the sky in a way which is totally impossible down on earth
Okay, I know who does the very lovely music "Loreena McKennnit" what I am trying to find out is who is the artist and name of the upbeat music you here early into the flight at about 1:20
