If I’m being honest, I’m glad that we got the H20 that we got. I don’t like Daniel’s idea of the whole town being in on the thing, nor am I interested in a magician. However, the whole copycat killer inspired by Michael sort of did come to fruition in Halloween Ends.
I read this script a couple years ago and really enjoyed it. Would've been a shame to go direct to video though. One thing. I don't recall there being any family ties in the script so either that's a misconception that got past the Taking Shape dudes or it was a throwaway moment that got past me lol.
We Should have gotten the sequel Farrands wanted instead of all of trash that has come since damn it!!!! They should have left Daniel Farrands alone and let him do what he wanted for parts 6 and 7 and for all the rest as he loved and knew this franchise so well!
To this day I am still completely distraught that they, #1: butchered Farrands' H6 script so badly, and #2: didn't do his H7: Lord of the Dead as the followup (a TRUE sequel to H6). Ugh. With the exception of H20 (which I feel slightly more than lukewarm to) I hate every single film post-H6. H6 was badass and the original script by Farrands was even better. It pains me that H6 never worked out and we didn't get a true sequel, and the series didn't continue on with Rudd's Tommy Doyle as the new person chasing Michael. I want to see THAT series and erase the series we got. Seriously. HR-HE SUCK. I would take H5 and H6 a trillion times in a row over those other ones. (And just think, if the studio had filmed Farrands' script as it was written instead of chopping it up, the movie likely would have been way better received. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face). Btw, do you have any more info on the H7: Lord of the Dead script? Is it available online anywhere? As a MONSTER H6 fan, I would love to read it.
i know halloween 6 has its fans but i dont get it. the cult storyline is poor micheal raping his niece barf . the worst characters john strode barry simms and paul rudd with the worst acting in the series all insufferable . the only reason its above ressurectio is because the producers cut not the theatrical cut is a better made movie and story then ressurection . and myers is awesome. i know you love hellraiser but it would have broken my heart to see halloween a series i love not as much as you and lee i admit but still this is one of my favourite horror series to go direct to video . halloween 6 nearly killed this series and h20 has its critics but it saved the franchise .
Well I do feel like if you took both elements from both cuts and mashed them together and you'd have a version of Halloween 6: The Curse Of Michael Myers that has elements of something amazing.
what they should do to keep halloween/michael myers in the public's awareness is to make halloween 4.5 THE ANIMATED MOVIE. bring back JAMIE LLOYD, REV. JACKSON SAYER, DR. LOOMIS, DEPUTY HUNT, RACHEL, CHARLIE BOYLES! so what if the actors are now older or since passed away they can still voice their characters or other voice atcors can imitate the characters's voices.. skip all of the thorn crap from 5 AND 666. halloween 4.5 takes place in 1989. i never wanted jamie to become the next shape. i knew all along they were never going to take that route. what they should have done is ship jamie off to smith's grove and then have michael break into smith's grove (give haddonefield a break for one halloween) in an effort to either attempt to kill her or traumatize her to the point where she actually begins to think she could possibly be evil to get her to join up with him....which she ultimately refuses to do and in the end she turns on michael and possibly/apparently kills him and saves rachel in the process. i always thought it would be a good idea to have michael break back into the facility. this way you could have a change in the setting, but still be true to the original concept. then i saw a max von sydow movie called the night visitor from about 1971. in it he breaks out of the asylum periodically to murder those who had him institutionalized, only to break back into the asylum after each new murder he commits. then i was like 'well, maybe it isn't an original idea, but it would still be cool to see michael break back into smith's grove.' also, in my 'story' there was to have been a patient at smith's grove who was an edlerly man. this man some times seems to be helping jamie escape michael and other times he seems to he assisting michael in his quest to find her. this old guy would turn out to be charlie bowles who was mentioned in the graveyard scene in 1978's halloween as having hacked his family up after supper. it is revealed that deputy gary hunt (hunter von leer) in halloween II was judith myers's lover on halloween 1963. they both have blonde hair. the deputy says he can remember halloween 1963 in halloween II. another halloween series alumni i would like to have in what i call 'halloween 4. 5' is rev. jackson p. sayer from 4: the return. the preacher actually did catch up with the evil he had been pursuing for years that he makes reference to in his conversation with loomis in 4. when the rev. caught up with his evil, he shot it six times and actually killed it. the preacher called it 'evil', but the authorties just saw the corpse of a dead man that the preacher had shot six times. when rev. jackson tried to tell everyone the person he had killed was evil incarnate everyone thought the preacher was insane and he was sent to smith's grove where he once again converses with loomis. while in smith's grove he / the preacher encounters michael and the preacher is convinced that michael REALLY is evil incarnate ... even well beyond what he had previously been pursuing and had ecountered/shot six times and killed. once i found a way to get all of the characters at smith's grove it just fell into place. loomis was no problem. michael of course was on the trail of jamie. jamie would actually be in smith's grove. charlie boyles and rev. jackson p. sayer would all ready be there. that just left gary hunt and rachel. gary could either be transporting paperwork about michael and/or jamie to the facility and rachel could be going to visit jamie there independently of each other OR gary hunt could be transporting rachel there for a visit with jamie and serving as her body guard. hunt while there encounters michael. he tells michael none of this was supposed to have happened. deputy hunt tells michael he/deputy hunt truly loved micahel's sister judith and they had plans to marry as soon as both were out of school. he tells michael that he / michael ruined his/gary's life by murdering judith and that is what set him/gary on his path of being involved in law enforcement; trying to prevent anyone else from ever suffering the kind of loss that he/gary did on halloween night 1963. this encounter of course ends badly for gary hunt.
Nick, you have more “The Story of Halloween” videos than the Steelers have won super bowls… and I absolutely love it 😜
I actually do lol. But in fairness, I have like ten of these! Lol
Excuses, excuses, excuses 🤣
And with Kenny Pickett as quarterback that should remain true for the foreseeable future.
Dude, keep making these. I love these behind the scenes/story videos.
I’ll keep making them! Even when I run out of Halloween ones lol
I always enjoy hearing about this period of the franchise. H20 will always be a favorite.
Josh Hartnett's haircut alone makes this statement untrue😂
Just wanted to say you make really good videos and deserve waaay more subscribers. 👍🤘
I really do appreciate that. Thank you very much! I’ve been on a heater lately, so maybe more will start to notice!
Love your vids brother love the Halloween content
❤️❤️❤️❤️

This Halloween script sounds pretty dope
I wish we got this! Maybe there’s still a chance we could still get this!
I’m having fun covering all of these!
Do you plan on covering both versions of Halloween Asylum?
I plan on covering each one that wasn’t done! So, if the research is going to lead me there, absolutely!
@@TheLostRiverDriveIn I have access to all of them that has a script available just lmk and i can send them to ya.

I saw it discussed on Wiki and on Reddit, but, that could be wrong. That one could be my bad lol
Where can I find a copy of the script to this?
I’m not sure if the actual script is available, but if it is, it’ll be on simplyscripts.com
think that would have been a good idea except for the copycat being a magician

Daniel was absolutely a true fan who wanted to make everybody happy, and I have immense respect for the man for that
Damn Weinstein's *THEY RUIN EVERYTHING!!!*
They sure do!@@thehorroranalog2943

To my knowledge, no, and I searched for it. I’m sure someone has access to it, but it’s nowhere online that I’ve seen
That's the problem...a 6th sequel...and no Carpenter and Hill.... studio....quit kicking this horse.... I've given up
i know halloween 6 has its fans but i dont get it.
the cult storyline is poor
micheal raping his niece barf .
the worst characters john strode barry simms and paul rudd with the worst acting in the series all insufferable .
the only reason its above ressurectio is because the producers cut not the theatrical cut is a better made movie and story then ressurection . and myers is awesome.

halloween 6 nearly killed this series and h20 has its critics but it saved the franchise .
Halloween 6 the Producers cut is the best film in the franchise and the last great one. And only one that makes sense
Well I do feel like if you took both elements from both cuts and mashed them together and you'd have a version of Halloween 6: The Curse Of Michael Myers that has elements of something amazing.
I like Paul Rudd but his acting was terrible and gave definition to the term "wooden" like never before.
