If you had washers and longer bolts could the ignition fit in the original location but on the risers? Great video I really like the setup, I'm trying to figure how to keep the ignition in the stock location. Thanks!
I can't say for sure as it was a long time ago when I did that sorry. A longer bolt down threw the bracket and into the riser/clamp sounds plausible though.
Honestly I'm not sure. But if I was to guess you would need a 7/8 standard size bar and not a fat over size 1 1/8 bar. Take a look at your clamps and get a measurement. There is many options for 7/8 size bar if you didn't wanna change other peices like the clamps. Also have a look at your cables. See how much slack there is. Normally it's possible just to re route them for some extra length. Different bars have different heights. Hope this helps.
Thank you 😊 Tell me please, how did you install the right and left remote control with buttons? In their original configuration (with the original steering wheel), these consoles have protrusions for holes in the steering wheel. Have you removed them?
@@Ginger_cigar It was so long ago I can't remember but if they did have little pins to lock into the bars I must have cut them off. New bars don't come with holes and I didn't drill any.
I didn't drill any holes in the bars. Honestly I can't remember if the switch housing had a little plastic pin to fit into the stock bars or not. If It did id imagine I cut it off. Bars have been on for years, no issues with anything moving around. Please consider subscribing.
@@duceswild2066 oh ok i see the lower bolt now. So you only slid one bolt through the ignition casing and one bolt underneath just to hold the triple clamp

@duces wild may you please send a link for everything you bought for this?
Did you have to use different length cables when you put risers on
Not for the few inches I went no.
Hey how tall are you? I’m 5’9” wondering if the cr high will be too high? Thx
Can I use this handlebar for DR-Z 250 (Djebel 250 in Japan) without cable changing?

@@duceswild2066 Thank you very much 🫡
Thanks for the video, do you need to drill holes on the bar to fit the stock switch box? Thanks
No I didn't drill any holes.
@@duceswild2066 does it move if you don’t drill holes?
@@jaydendarby5013 No its never moved.
I think that author was delete the ledges from stock switch box.

Did you only use one bolt instead of two for triple clamp?
No. 2 bolts in each bar clamp

Hi what indicators are those?
DRC
Did you have to change the cables?
No
How does it feel? Looks nice. Much higher? Is the angle of the bars straighter than the stock bars?
It feels great. Few inches higher makes a big difference. The sweep is about the same.
These look the same as my stock
SMs come with Renthal. Guessing thats what you have?
So the new bars are 7/8s?
