I never got into Screaming Females’ records, but I recently was fortunate enough to do sound for them for a livestream and absolutely fell in love with them as a live band. I spent the whole show in absolute awe of Marissa’s playing.
My first axe was a Fender Jazz bass my friend sold to me for much the same reason and it's still my go-to two decades later. It's a truly lucky thing to find love that quickly.
I’m a sucker for a girl that can shred on guitar. her sex life is none of our business. she seems to be so laid back and not full of herself.keep on rocking on.!
I know a girl that is a lead guitarist played in bands for years and said that there’s a lot of sexism in the music industry and men don’t take her talent seriously they just look on her as a sex symbol that happens to be a great guitar player/musician these guys feel intimidated by a woman who can outplay them.. she’s always fighting off dudes in clubs after gigs and other male musicians.
I get what she means about men putting her down in the gear/guitar culture. I stay away from all of that stuff because of the same reason, and i'm a dude. Theres a few youtubers that i follow, but if i post that i like the wrong pedal on r/guitar people act like i spit in their face.
Indeed it is - as far as it pertains to the Roman Catholic Church that is!! In regards to others, the term/word refers to an elevator... pa·ter·nos·ter /ˈpadərˌnästər,ˈpädərˌnästər noun noun: paternoster; plural noun: paternosters; noun: paternoster lift; plural noun: paternoster lifts 1. (in the Roman Catholic Church) the Lord's Prayer, especially in Latin. (any of a number of special beads. occurring at regular intervals in a rosary, indicating that the Lord's Prayer is to be recited.) 2. an elevator consisting of a series of linked doorless compartments moving continuously on an endless belt. But now as far as "Miss Paternoster" is concerned, IMHO she F'n ROCKS, and I totally dig her!! She is AWESOME No Doubt!!
Lol.. Shes such a whiner. She feels she isn't being included in the guitar conversation, while being interviewed by Premier Guitar. Makes me like her music less.
" I'm not included in guitar culture" " yeah, I dont even know what model guitar i play" Maybe you're not included because you're clueless. Also, isn't she being interviewed by Premier Guitar?
She's not the only one, and I am extremely detail oriented, but it blows me away when people don't even know what they have in their hands even though they use it every day. If G&L gives you a guitar, the least you can do is remember what model it is. Last time I checked, G&L doesn't make Stratocasters.
@coreytohme9861 Don’t be facetious lol, even Leo himself said G&L was a continuation of his work & development, call it an s-type or whatever you want, but a strat is a strat regardless of who makes it lol

Marissa is a exceptionally gifted musician and I think one of the best guitarist around.
It's a display of force to watch her play. I've never seen anyone own a stage like her. Thanks for doing this PG!

screaming females has been my favorite band in the last decade.
marissa is a living legend
I like this series and this is the best one of these yet. So real and honest, Marissa is the greatest. And such an incredible player.
simply one of the very best players alive.
Definitely!
you go, soul-sis!
I wasn't familiar with Nina Nastasia "Dogs". Enjoying it based on Marissa's recommendation.
Happy Christmas, one and all.

And man, do I love my Boss pedals
Best Regards Marissa! Best Wishes for 2022!!
I am deeply impressed with her playing and voice. She is an amazing performer.
Always love seeing seeing the screamales on here. Great band.
Dear Tenement, WE MISS YOU

Really enjoyed this one - That DD-6 is so cool with all it’s wear and tear.
Id like to know the G&L model

Her last name is the lords prayer. Go Jesus!

Good luck finding male guitarists that are clearly better than Marissa. 👍😅🤣
They are the problem all around in every aspect of life. Not relevant to my life.
Yet you felt like sharing that with everybody that doesn't care.
I love her music but the anti male stuff is such a drag
Agree. So dumb to be lumped all together.
Also, maybe she should learn about her gear if she wants to be included
she said theres plenty of men in her life that helped her and were nice to her... her main band is her and 2 dudes.
"I have friends that are male"
@@Holden-C. Your gear isn't that important.
The ‘I hate men’ comment of hers makes me want to piss her off by telling her she’s pretty good for a girl but she should wear makeup next time
Are you triggered?
Paul you sound like a horrible person
@@shipyardskater99 I don't think he's horrible, he's got his opinions but we'll love him anyway
not a surprising comment on youtube

For being a player, not a gear head.
