    The bonking will run its course. Thunder and Akecheta are ver.y good parents and raise healthy fledglings. These three babies are a blessing.

    I've watched Thunder and Chet at West End for awhile now. A couple years back, there were 3. One was a bully. The runt took FOREVER to fledge but all 3 successfully fledged.
    Tho I do agree, nature can be very difficult to witness.

      The runt you're referring to was actually the 2nd to hatch. The 1st to fledge was the 3rd hatch.. And food was plentiful. It was a great season.

      It’s all part of natures process, eagles instinctively learn to fight, steal for food,especially when they are starving and on their own 🐣🐥

    They have to get fed until they are full. If they don't #1 will most definitely continue. I have faith mom and dad will work this all out.. it's hard to watch. I watched the national geographic on eaglets and it's that harsh reality. Most live streams don't talk about it and then it makes it hard for people to understand. Parents also don't intervene because to them, strongest will need to survive to make it out there. ❤

      @moka9144 8 месяцев назад +5

      Hi there, Blackhawk friend 🙂 You're so right with what you say. I'm sorry for the newbies not understanding yet how the eagles' natural rules are (I was quite the same many years ago when I started to watch eagles on live cams). We all need to watch with some "healthy distance". I've had to learn that lesson too but it comes only within time. For now I hope the sibling rivalry will calm down soon and all three will thrive and be just alright. I'm confident that all will be good in about 1-2 weeks.

      This is sad? You have odd priorities. Nature is unpredictable. These two got the 3 Jackie and Shadow didn't hatch and that's beautiful. Jackie and Shadow get another chance next year. Wish them good health. Don't expect nature to go your way and think it's unfortunate when things "go wrong".

    Oh my gosh, reading these comments is ridiculous! Stop trying to incite so much drama into an eagle nest. If you are new to nature videos, ask questions or go to the website shown in the description box to get educated. I have watched this nest for a few years now and all 3 eaglets have always fledged. These parents know what they are doing, food is not scarce in this environment. Thank you, Cali Condor, for posting these incredible videos!

    • @Blackhawk-overLA
      @Blackhawk-overLA 8 месяцев назад +10

      The parents will only feed who is taking and unfortunately will not break up the fighting/dominating. If the parents can get 1&2 full #3 will have a chance but if they don't... He won't and that's reality. Sad to us but to eagles it is survival of the fittest. Tough world out there so they only feed the strong. I actually would rather see nests of just one because of this but 3 is amazing considering the circumstances with this nest❤️

    That chick who's eating has a preferential position by being up higher than the other two. Plus, he's opening his mouth which is what the mother is looking for. So the other two chicks who aren't opening their mouths for food tells me that the first chick is going to get stronger and inevitably will push out the other two chicks from the nest. He's already being aggressive over the other chick getting food from the mother to the point where the stronger chick is trying to grab the food out of the weaker chick's mouth. There's no doubt in my mind that the stronger chick is seeking to kill his siblings....thus illustrating Darwin's theory of the survival of the fittest. Nature ain't pretty.

    • @Niteowlette
      @Niteowlette 8 месяцев назад +2

      This happens with eaglets, and the younger ones usually find crafty ways to get their portions at mealtime. The bonking will ease up as they grow and when learning that there is enough food supplied by the parents. It is tough to watch sometimes.
