The Firebird has a 455 cui engine, so suddenly it's not that weird it could get 800 horses from the original engine. And also it's Pontiac power which is the best power plant. Those engines are underrated.
I think the differential is the problem, not the suspension on the muscle cars. At high speed you're forever loading and unloading the left and right rear wheels so the power is switching from wheel to wheel causing one wheel to spin (low grip tyres are not helping). Lock the diff and it should be more predictable and manageable

Say if you put a 1000+ HP engine in a 60's car, but leave the stock drive train and tires, the mechanical strain and centripetal force would make the drive train snap or the tires explode? I think that should be a setting you could toggle, so you can turn it off if you wanted, but with it on, it would force you to really think about what you're putting on the car. Similarly, you should be able to turn anti-roll, or "Forza force", as I guess we call it, off in the Horizon games. Also, when you do manage to roll the car, the vehicle reset shouldn't be automatic. It'll prompt you to let you know you _can_ reset, but you can only reset yourself. That way we can keep our glorious rolls!
okay can you please do a community challenge race in the mazda? I would love to see how people would deal with the handling if you did race it at le mans
I don't have XBox so no Forza but in a old japanese racing game based off of Wangan Midnight I took a Suzuki Cappuccino and put in a RX-7 engine in and tuned it up and I think I broke the game I hit 258 MPH on that game. Sadly GT6 doesn't have engine swaps. But if that car is in the game you might try it and but I'm sure it will not want to play nice.
you should do a challenge where u build a car up to a class and race it aganist the ai or other people in a lower class car but they can upgrade it how they loke or something

I managed to get a pontiac Trans Am up to 198mph on FM4 without slipstream and that was a 5 minute build
