I am about to clean a mtn bike trail near my house for RC rally runs. Wish me luck, it will be 95% dirt with a few smooth driveable rocks that exist in places. I think the efforts will end up with some good fun.
Amazing grip on rally blocks, on pirellis It just flows! Maybe a smaller pinion gear? I order to reduce wheelspin in corner exit on power or just on low grip.
Try using the throttle curve in the remote control to throttle the engine a little in the lower speed range. Is often used in the RC drift scene to make the chassis more controllable when moving. Drive e.g. my XV-02 with a throttle curve of 25/-25% (on the first 25% throttle path the power is reduced by 25%). In addition, a negative servo speed for the steering brought some calm to the chassis, here I have -15 for forward and reverse. 11:20 I also notice that I'm a bit rusty during the winter break. In addition to rallycross training and a rallycross race, I have to train a bit for the RC Rallye Blankenburg over the next few weekends, where I'll find out the date in the next few days. I'm personally really looking forward to this rally, if only because of the two night special stages where the only light is on the body.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Before working on the throttle curve I'll try to get the best from the mechanical grip if the car, changing few things in the setup. But in general it's a great idea to work on it during a rally in the grip conditions changes. Good luck for your Rc season!
Oh man, that's so cool! This is the first I have seen of a group of RC rally guys get together for some practice. It seems like such a far stretch to make this happen where I am at, because people are always so busy and rally isn't that popular in my area. The people around here like to ballet drift or drive in a circle in the dirt.. not very appealing to me. That X-Ray runs great! 🚗💨
Hi Do you know how much your car weighs? my Strada, ready to ride, with wheels without body weighs ~1800g. now I'm building LC racing which is much lighter, ~ 1400g. what oils do you use for shock absorbers and differentials? At home I have 350 cst, but when I see other players, I see that they have 500 cst and more. Your xray drives beautifully, I can't wait to test my new lc Racing :D
Hi! It weights something between 1500g-1600g still working on some stuffs, you'll see what I mean in the upcoming video. About the oils I currently use for the front 300-350 rear 200-250. In Rc Rally I don't see the need to go higher
Hi, hard to say because I've never had the possibility to drive a Rally Legend chassis. But talking about facts: not in Poland, Czech Republic or Spain I saw someone using a RL Chassis and being competitive. I won a Rc Rally Championship using a modified Tamiya XV-01
Ty for your aswer i understand that the best way yo start in rcrallye with someone competitive and not too much expensive is a xv I will continue searching for some secondhand unit Ty for your time.
Welcome, secondhand Chassis are a good idea. Also Tamiya spare parts are widely available and for a reasonable price. Also a Tamiya XV-01/02 are almost Rally ready, so you don't need to spend additional money time for them. I also suggest you to take a look at this video that I made time ago ruclips.net/video/JHeeShJtr0g/видео.htmlsi=ahnFBxFNYBd1oVA_

Seems like it's going to be super fun!
Awesome!!! I always wondered how you chalked out the course.... I love that setup!!!! How wide are the lanes???
Hi! It's around 65 -70 cm

There's still some work to do but it's an already amazing starting point. Good idea to put a smaller pinion, I'll try to test a smaller one next time
Great video, thank you !
Terrific testing session.! Good luck with the competition!

I agree with you. Want to form a group in our area. Most people around here don't want to walk. lol. Just want to look at a circle.
Maybe try to show them my Channel, it can make them more interested in Rc Rally. Also could be good to start with a short stage for beginners
@@dariorcgarageThat's a really good idea! Thanks and best of luck to you.. Ciao!

What wheels! Not tyres are you using, i like them.
Hpi Turbomac 👍
I have been meaning to ask you. What type of clearance do you aim for with your body shell (mainly front) and the ground?
Around 3cm
What is it you adjust and what is the thing you plug in please? Couldn't quite make it out.
I'm adjusting the "Neutral Range" using a program card
@@dariorcgarage Neutral Range and Throttle Range are the same ? in my 10bl120, there are Throttle Range 6 - 9 and 12%. what does that mean ?
