I would want to help out a person in need bcuz my friend is in the same situation same stage and i would usually guide her but bcuz of corona virus I can’t be much of help to her And she is now in a different country and it was nice that u made this possible 😊👌
Why isn't anyone talking about the girl? She offered to guide him, but didn't know how, and asked him and readily helped him. And considering how there's an ever growing fear of sexual predators, she still helped him, she's such a good person. "how must I guide you" that sentence just warmed my heart so much
@Jjyu it actually doesn't matter that he was a man, the person who commented it just stated a fact that sexual predators and people who could hurt you exist 🤷🏼♀️ the women didn't know the guy so they were just cautious
@Jjyu tell me you are a man without telling me you are a man... Have you ever got assaulted on the street? or catcalled? this literally happens everyday if you're a girl you walking alone in my country 😀 all of them turned out to be men 😀 don't be rude to people who had this experience before trying to invalidate their previous experiences, sadly we have to take care of ourselves like this
I love how they actually bring people of those situations out for the social experiments and not have someone act it out. Other channels may make someone act blind while they actually use real people who are blind
omg EXACTLY, it’s really nice because it doesn’t feel like the people in the video are being misled/tricked in any way. Having an actor that actually has the experience they portray is way more meaningful 😊
I feel like some of the women didn’t help him because they were worried about their safety. Some predators pretend to be hurt or disabled and prey on people’s sympathy. This isn’t to say never help people, but I can understand why some of them were cautious.
Chloe Wong that’s what infamous serial killer Ted Bundy would do, he’d wear a cast/sling and pretend he was moving boxes into his car to lure women, honestly it sounds bad but I rarely help people because of this fact
when that guy said "Shall I help you in the bathroom as well" UWU I CRIED HE'S SO SWEET update: OKAY YALL NEED TO STOP COMMENTING ABOUT THE UWU LIKE CHILL IF YALL FEEL IT CRINGE JUST KEEP IT TO YOURSELF. AND DON’T ASK ME TO GOOGLE THE MEANING BCS DUDE FYI, IT HAS OTHER MEANING SO YEAH SHUT UP :)

@I boop ur nose lol in korea it's a big problem. Alot of people will approach you that are scammers. Or religous people, or they're trying to sell something. Otherwise koreans almost never talk to people they dont know. So many koreans tend to avoid people who talk to them in public
I have even seen Korean religious groups out in German public streets with flyers, posters, etc. and I was really surprised. I do not know if they were cultists though
For me personally I won't be that type who will get distracted easily by cult members. Like those cult members are obviously more suspicious than people who ask for help. They will likely say "can I have your time or can you help me?" without specifying what they need
I think its because his eyes don't look blind if you know what I mean. I watch heals and you won't know he was blind except he tells you or you see him walking
Ok, but is nobody gonna mention how good his orientation skills are? Like he said he can only see shapes close to his face, yet he managed to follow most people's voices whilst unfamiliar with the route without the use of any kind of cane, and walked confidently Edit: I understand how blind people orientate themselves, just thought this dude deserved more credit since I didn't see another comment saying it. As someone who naturally has all of his senses heightened, I get how it works
I am not sure how long he has been blind if since birth or later ... but my mother lost her sight as an adult, her other senses over time helped her get around , I am sure it is the same for him other skills become sharper to offset the lost of sight... I think the same is for people I have known who couldn't hear...
When you lose a sens, another one grows: that means that if you're blind, your faculty to hear people, voice, even footstep is more developped that any other human without disability. It's a strong "power" in my opinion, because it's very helpfull!
Your brain re-distributes it's focus and your other senses are heightened as a response, especially hearing. Us humans are resilient and adaptation is key to survival. It truly us amazing how people with disabilities really cope and adapt to their situations. We really take many things for granted.
I love how the boy at 5:53 ask if Hansol want to hold his arm, Hansol's reaction is like 'wow you know that? Amazing' Edit : Woah.. 2.7K of like thank you so much 😭❤️ Edit 2 : Why do i have 4.2k ㅠㅠ

It might be ridiculous but as a German I’m so happy to see the guy who helped him get represented here. We often get a bad rap for being cold or even rude and it makes me really sad because in reality,a lot of us are just reserved but friendly people.
Interesting take... I too was pleased that an international student ( in this case from Germany) stepped up to help. I here horror stories of how Americans ( I am American) traveling abroad are rude and demanding. I hope to travel to Korea and other parts of Asia, the last 15 years I have traveled to Colombia SA were many locals mistake me for being Colombian, surprised when I tell them I am from the States as those they have met prior were rude.... I was raised that as a guest no matter where to be respectful, never to be an ungrateful guest
@@michaelcurtin6085 I see, I am also an American but I am living in an Asian country with my family. I did face a little bit of discrimination surprisingly, but not that much so it was alright. I think that's why it's important to be accepting and open to all types of people and not judge people immediately, especially by the things that they can't control.
The stereotype of German I know is the one who follows the rules strictly but beside that is friendly and kind (even being reserved). Respectful also. Hope it makes you feel better :)
5:52 This guy is so sweet and kind, and at 6:21 when he asked this, my heart genuinely melted. I hope that guy has a wonderful life and lives financially stable with a spouse :) (They do be kinda cute together tbh)
😯😯yes at first I was really criticizing him why he wasn't holding his hand so that he could follow him ...but I realise that this was the case ....regretting criticizing him...TT
Apart from the black shirt guy the girl with white shirt also has a lot of manners I must say. When asked: why did u ask how to help u she said, "I didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable by just holding him and I felt it rude to ask him to hold my handbag". This melts me🥺 How thoughtful
People in Korea, like most other countries, are quite compassionate and kind to people with special needs or disabilities which is rather evident in this video. It would be interesting if you could do an experiment where the person with the special need is a foreigner and speaks another language. I’m actually quite interested to see the locals’ reactions 🧐🤔
When i was in Korea with my friends one of them was hurt at her knee (wearing a splint). We all had little to no knowledge of the language but she got offered a seat on the subway a lot, even by older people. This was really heartwarming. When we were arriving with our huge luggages, people asked to help her at stairs before we could help her. I'm still touched how nice people were to her/us generally.
I kinda like the fact that they didn’t make his blindness a big of a deal and just truly wanted to help him. The woman asking how he felt more comfortable with her guiding him was super practical and sweet!
Guy:" Actually, I'm blind so I can't see where are you pointing" Person: *while pointing* "it's right there 👈👉" Wtf he just said he can't see and you're still showing with your fingers
I don't think they did that out of any ill intent since they helped him later on. Sometimes it just takes some time to fully register things because you get flustered with the unknown situation :)
i was so annoyed with the people just pointing the location after he said "i'm blind" LIKE DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THE MAN CANT SEE?! but i'm glad a lot of people shown were like yeah ok do you want me to guide you?
It's a basic reaction... it's not that they don't understand. They never talked to a blind person on a daily if you understand. I've done that before it just didn't register until the person explained nicely. Why do people that are not blind get on their high horse when their is a misunderstanding but blind people are cool and kind enough to explain and be cheerful anyways
Waah I never thought of this and like everyone else, I would think that a blind person always carries a crane or a walker but this is an awakening for everyone. We judge people instantly by their looks and to add up that people have trust issues so trusting a stranger is not an easy thing to do. I salute those who openly helped him. The instinct to help him came first. Nice one jay! Thanks for this!
when he said "shall i help you in the bathroom as well" i melt! he's gentleman regardless the gender and i thought he find the acting blind really pure/innocent since he ask help cutely too that's why he's willing to help him, god bless this man .
the dude who offered to help him in the bathroom was so sweet :( everybody handled this situation so well. not all blind/visually impaired people look blind/visually impaired!
Its very frustrating to hear them say “that way, that direction, around the corner and right there” when mentioning the location of the cafe even after him telling them he’s blind; but I guess people are over whelmed and don’t know their use of words don’t do anything for a blind person
PuppyPaws Right, I’m not surprised. But then again, I only met one blind person in my life that needed help with directions and it was quick logic for me to not use those phrases but then again, I don’t blame others 😭 but it must be frustrating!
PuppyPaws Oh god. I can’t even imagine how that must feel, you don’t want to discredit ones help but then again.. they aren’t really helping haha. Things like this should be learned within schools, same goes for basic sign language; we should be more inclusive when it comes to things like this. Because it’s obvious most are oblivious of what to do.
@@ShanayavanderPot ive only ever been led by the elbow once and that was years ago at the airport and then my stepdad asked me how i could let someone lead me and i should be ashamed.
It's so nice to see people so willing to help just because it was the right thing to do. It's a nice reminder to be kind because you never know what someone else is going through.
When I went to Korea, I was also shocked the people there are so kind! I was speaking in English and asking for direction and the Koreans are trying to explain it in English but find it too hard and take me there eventually! And what's even crazier is that they just went from there but have to go back because of me! I don't remember them anymore but I really want to thank them again!
I discovered this channel and I immediately fell in love with it. I keep going back to watch some of them. One that I have watched a few times is this one. Last week this lady , who is blind. asked if I could help her. Watching this video taught me what to do when this happens. She too looked shocked that I knew what do. This has motivated me to learn about more ways to help a blind person. Thank you so much for this content.
Wow, that woman was so kind. She wasn’t sure how to help him but she did help him. The other people helped him too, at the end but it was faster how only one person. At least they did, that’s good.
When people started offering to escort him my heart burst. In England you’d get people looking at you funny or ‘ain’t my problem mate’. This is such a nice video.
the girl who asked how should she guide him 🥺 that’s so respectful. you should never just grab a blind person but ask how you can help them. also the guy who took him up the ramp instead of the stairs

It might be ridiculous but as a German I’m so happy to see the guy who helped him get represented here.
We often get a bad rap for being cold or even rude and it makes me really sad because in reality,a lot of us are just reserved but friendly people.
Jap, das dachte ich mir auch!!
When I was there it was okay. Some people where rude, but a lot more were nice! I definitely loved it there and can’t wait to go back!

How thoughtful

I'm still touched how nice people were to her/us generally.

i was so annoyed with the people just pointing the location after he said "i'm blind" LIKE DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THE MAN CANT SEE?! but i'm glad a lot of people shown were like yeah ok do you want me to guide you?
It's a basic reaction... it's not that they don't understand. They never talked to a blind person on a daily if you understand. I've done that before it just didn't register until the person explained nicely. Why do people that are not blind get on their high horse when their is a misunderstanding but blind people are cool and kind enough to explain and be cheerful anyways

It breaks my heart to see young people have disabilities. But seeing him happily living his life, it makes me happy.
