Good on yer Thom! Inspiring info as always that I have faith in. The Bullteeze certainly worked for me in bright colours on very coloured water on my river. Pike to low doubles, perch and even a 41/2lb chub. Happy days 👍
Hi Thom! Hope you and the family are doing well! Just a quick suggestion for video content. Is it possible to do a master class/guide or tips and tricks video on dropshotting? I did a quick search of your channel and there doesnt seem to be a lot on it or maybe you've covered it in other videos or videos that arent on this channel? Thanks any how!
Well you were right Thom I had 6 pike all to the Westin Swim yesterday. 4 on the 12cm and 2 on the 8 cm. 5 out of the 6 were savage takes under the rod tip all on the hang. Thanks for the advice and all the info on how to fish them 👊🏻
Hi Tom! I’m a bank fisherman. who fish in shallow, very dirty water with lots of weeds, and i’ve been struggling with the Autumn Perch, i thought i found the solution with the ned worm 7cm in different colours into my tackle box, but i think the fish have caught unto me, or atleast they stopped biting 🥲 so i humbly request some tips from the Perch master himself 💪
@@rpgpuffer361 They often start moving in to deeper water at this time of year. What type of venue are you on? Can you access all the water from the bank?
@@Thomhuntfishing the lake is roughly shaped like a christmas tree, it’s 4.5km around and at the tip of the tree theres a channel that goes into another lake, it has a depth of between 1.5m and 3.3m at the deepest, sadly duo to the shape of the lake i’m unable to reach deepest parts from the dirt banks
hi mate any chance you can do one of these for the month of october/november for perch and small pike pleeeease??? really appreciate your feedback mate :)
Hello, I am currently looking for a new rod and perhaps you can recommend one to me. Since you seem to have a bazillion of Westin products. I fish predominantly from boats (jerk/twitch, trolling) for pikes, zander and perch. The lures are such as O.S.P Rudra, Asura, Durga(from 90 mm to 130 mm). Do you have some rod in mind for it (fast/extra fast, around of 2 meters)? I am also open to suggestions.
@@Kvakva Hi there, it depends on your budget but my favourite for those size twitch baits would be the W2 - W6 Finesse T&C in 7-21g casting weight. Its a brilliant all round rod 👍👍👍
Nearly all canals in the UK are open March to June. I think there are 4 that are closed due to being SSSI sites. Deffo Basingstoke Canal is closed. But most open 👍
I'm going to the reservoir in the end of May and this is absolute gold info! Thank you so much Thom! You're a legend!🤜🏼🤛🏼
will have to take a few of these on board as I want to be hitting more of those pike, mainly to show I can do it!! Great video mate
Good luck mate 💪
Great information ❤

Yeah Bullteez is an awesome lure, and the Swim has been a best seller for 10 years now so deffo try one
@@Thomhuntfishing haha! I have 3 of them and yes they’re good. My favourite is the golden Rudd/white head in suspending 👍

@@Rose.Of.Hizaki Hey yes I just need to get the World Champs out the way then make some more videos in October 👍👍👍 Drop shotting is on my list
Some great info there Thom, will be putting it into action and see how we get on 🤟🏻
Good luck and let me know how you get on. For bank fishing in May honestly the Swim is the one 👍

@@PT-Gethooked that’s awesome. Glad it worked out well for you! Those swims will be the best usually until about June.
You have more Westin products on display than angling direct.
Angling direct is a shit hole every good spinning angler has more lure home like angling direct!!!
Ha ha yeah spent a long time testing the products in many different situations so know the product range inside out!
Get that 15cm swim out even in small canals be 🔥

@@Thomhuntfishing Thanks for response.
What about W3-4 Ultrasticks? Are they similar or not recommended for such baits?
Are you allowed to fish Pike in the Canals in May? I thought it was closed season.

Hiya mate, how do I know which size jighead/hook to use for my soft baits? Thanks in advance.
I have a question for dropshoting what hook size to use to catch any size perch because I am new to it?
A 6 is a good all rounder 👍 perfect for 1.5-2.5” baits to get plenty of bites and still always in for a chance of a better one
@@Thomhuntfishing thanks I was using a size 12 hook with worms but just keep missing bites
@@stevenaidley1541 go a bit bigger 👍 try an 8 with worms and make sure the bait isn’t too big. A piece about 2-2.5” long should be fine
Wheres the best places to buy westin gear in the UK?
There are multiple shops and online stores that stock Westin in the UK. I believe Glasgow Angling Centre stock every product Westin do
Yeah either rod would be good. 👍
