- Amersfoort is the second largest city of the province of Utrecht, situated at the river Eem. It has an authentic historic centre, which is well preserved since the Middle Ages. Looks a wonderful place - lovely music too.
Growing up with Oma in the '60's & '70's & living in Baarn in the summer, never once did we go to Amersfoort. It looks very nice, but then again, so does most of Holland.
I spent my summer in Amersfoort. I am from Alabama in the US. This video makes me miss it there so terribly! What an amazingly beautiful & historic city it is...
Cannot wait to return!

I lived there in the early 70's. My dad was stationed at Camp New Amsterdam. Love Amersfoort and the Netherlands. Feel very fortunate for having the pleasure of living in such a beautiful city.

I lived there for almost two years and enjoyed it immensely. A very nice video showcasing a great and historic Dutch city. If I'm ever in the Netherlands again, will definitely visit. Having played the piano, I love the choice of music accompanying the video. It's very fitting.

Deze video heb ik met Photo Story for Windows gemaakt. Je kunt het downloaden bij Microsoft. Het nadeel is dat de qualiteit niet optimaal is en het alleen video's in wmv formaat maakt. Ik ben nog op zoek naar het ideale video programma voor een windows-pc.

Mooie video, ik had in de Amersfoort nu wel iets gelezen dat zei dat Amersfoort niet zijn naam heeft omdat de Eem vroeger de Amer heette maar zijn naam heeft door een Frankische volk dat hier ooit leefte, de Chamaven.
Fijn dat je de video mooi vindt. Dat zou ook goed kunnen. Ik heb mijn tekst gebaseerd op de informatie in wikipedia:-)
