I suspect babies bring out the maternal / paternal instinct in adult cats. When I was an infant, we had a cat that was quite grumpy and bad tampered but she was very affectionate and friendly towards my big brother who was a baby when my mum and dad got her.
I’d be scared to death, to let a cat like that, 0:24 near a baby. This didn’t look like a gentle cat approach. Those claws can come out very easily. Believe me, I had in happened to me when I was 16, when I went to play full head but my ca, that I’ve had for four months and built up a trusting relationship and I already had a bond with, and it scratched two scratch marks (luckily) right below each eye.

You have to be careful with babies and pets. I have heard of numerous tragedies from nurses in emergency rooms from the mixing of cats and babies. Cats are not stuffed animals.

My cats love kittens and puppies. So when I had a baby, it was as if they knew she was my "kitten". They would watch her and purr.
