Wode Maya, you are lucky to have met with Gen. Pieng Deng, one of the most loved and admired freedom fighter generals in South Sudan. Pieng wast in the 4th year, school of engineering at Khartoum University, Sudan when he abandoned his studies and joined the SPLA to wage war of liberation in 1983.
He is business-oriemted. He started agricultural projects more than a decade ago especially piggery. You are doing GREAT WORK bro by letting us and the world know about plethora of untold inspiring stories in many African countries. Kudos Mr. Ghana boy!!!

But to be honest there are still many challenges, only big boys and young guys related to generals are more freely, some of the things are sealed people being interviewed are not speaking of constant harassments and people who can hurt others even get away with it , if our country was like Uganda, majority would have returned long time ago to establish something, am 27 and I bought a land recently back home in South Sudan with a dream to establish an academy ( primary school) but until now am still fighting with people over the land that I fully paid and things like that discourages young people before you even add insecurity 😦

“The most important resource South Sudan 🇸🇸 has is land. So this is the bigger source and if we utilize it, not the oil, oil is nothing for us and not the gold, gold is nothing for us because we have land and water”. Leaders who see beyond minerals and oil exploration will greatly expand and build a sustainable environment to enable their country grow to the capacity they envision. Very wise saying And visionary. We have to move beyond the dependency on gold, oil, diamond etc. land has other values and we need to explore it as well.
