The ultrasonic motion detector can select surface as area but it is capable of properties of the materials that depend on opening gaps and you select the correct choices for working with variety of objects detecting because you can create harmonics frequency.
Having the sensor out so far on a stick makes the geometry of the display incorrect. The sensor should be on top of the rotation point.

Can you please guide me, my project is not working properly, the servo is rotating 1 degree at a time in both directions and not continuously, but when I am commenting the call function "distance = calculateDistance()", the servo is working fine, but the serial comm is not working since I have bypassed in the program. I am not able to trace what the problem is ?

That is a *SONAR* not a RADAR.

yo search up arduino radar. every one calls it that learn your facts then tell this guy he is wrong
Yuri is right and he gave you good information. It uses a ultrasonic range detector so its a sonar( sound). A radar uses electromagnetic waves (radio). If everyone calls it a radar, everyone is wrong. Now you should search up and learn the difference so you can learn instead of going with the majority.

SONAR is UNDER WATER!, THIS IS AN ULTRASONIC RADAR!
Sonic is a term related to sound involving sound or producing sound .sound travels at around 300 odd meters per second . The unit produces high pitch inaudible sound and is then picked up at the receiver . the time difference between the two at the specific frequency gives the distance so the the programme is just a visual of the distance to any object reflecting the sound. But none the less this is a neat project and has been done before buy many and is a good example of coding ..

Great project! There are some spikes tho, have you tried to filter the signal? I made a similar radar too with 4 ultrasonic distance sensors in 4 directions and changed the servo to a stepper motor, and 3D printed the case.
I think the spikes (if you're referring to what I think you're referring to) is his curtain flapping around in the background.
why in processing code ...i find com5 as an error ...help me to solve
Sometime it look like there's some "misread" (wrong value read) ... there's red line when there's absolutely nothing. And yes, I'm aware of the curtain but at arround 6:25, between the 2 objects, it detect something when there's nothing. Any idea why you are getting this kind of behavior?

When I make a separate programme for servo motor it runs smoothly but when I give command of full programme in that the servo motor rotates very very slowly and also stepwise very slow so what is the problem in this kindly provide me the solution . Thanks 🙏🙏

If you put an object behind another would it only register the nearest object and not the one behind it (given same size and dimensions)?

can it detect a mosquito or a fly? would be cool to add a beam of very powerfull microwave radiation or a beam of very powerfull heat radiation to kill or maim the fly/mosquito. i recon it wont be precise enough for a laser beam but with a wider beam of energy it might work
Mine works good but when there's nothing in the way it slows down a lot! Like it barely moves. Any solve ?

Hello. I have 1 problem. When I connect the sensor and the servo to the arduino uno, the servo motor goes very slowly, is there a problem with the power supply? Do I need to make some external power supply for the servo motor? I see that you also used Uno and these two in the project and it works at normal speed.

whats the software to map out radar? How to increase the range on radar map? Any module to amplify the ultrasonic signal?
Since you can use HC-SR04 sensor as a radar, can you make a 'invisible object'?,

The principle might be the same, but it is SONAR not RADAR. Ultrasonic sound, not Radio.

for the arduino codes when you calculated distance why use this algorithm distance = duration *0.034/2
Halil Mert Kaya 340 (speed of sound in air) * 100 (in Cm) * 10^-6 (to convert from microsecond) = 0.034.Then divide by 2 cause it's a reflected signal. We need to know the duration of one way. So, we divide by 2.
