      @@brentdiamondbrown3517 ive completed the exchange of the solenoid now thanks but now the LED doesnt light up to say theres any power to the shower. It did before with the old solenoid just didnt fire up. Do you think there is a separate issue to the solenoid and if so why would the LED light up with the old solenoid and not this one please? Ive tested at the terminals in the shower itself and there is still power present just no LED now? I dont understand at all any advice would be appreciated. Many thanks

      @@adamwilliams5372 so its been a while did the power light come on when the shower was running or when main pull chord operated just to indicate power to shower unit ready to run

      @@brentdiamondbrown3517 thank you for the reply ive done all my testing back and found that the whole issue wasnt the solenoid at all!! The pull cord switch had gone faulty. Polarity was correct all along the line until after the pull cord and the neutral in the shower was showing up live. The polarity was all correct back to consumer unit (i wired it myself and triple checked it) so i bridged out the pull cord switch and it all worked perfectly. Oddly enough everything was cross polarity after the pull cord (while still terminated correctly) ive now replaced tested and all good to go!! Have you come across many pull cord switches like that? Really bizarre as it worked before and i didnt pick up on that when originally testing??

    Please, do you know where to find the solenoid? Would you advise to remove it and take it with me to the hardware store?

    Can you please identify what type of screws/screwdriver are used in this video? I suspect I will need to buy one of those first.

      For the internal screws a T10 screw driver but i have a terminal screw driver which removes these without a problem .externals screws are posi screws.Hope this helps

    Hi, is it necessary to take the whole unit off the wall to replace the solenoid?

    • @brentdiamondbrown3517
      @brentdiamondbrown3517  4 года назад

      No i just find it easier when removed .seal plug hole in case you drop a screw
