Same. I've been home for like, 3 and a half hours. and I have a book report, homework for math I don't understand, and after school tomorrow I'm coming home at 8 o clock so I probably should get sleep... Or procrastinate on this.
Kids, I gave myself Tinnitus (a constant, permanent, ringing in your ears) when I was 17 by blasting death metal in my headphones after my mom died. Please, for the love of god, protect your ears. Hearing loss is not so bad considering we have amazing hearing aids today that can make it seem like nothing happened... unfortunately there is no cure what-so-ever for Tinnitus and I've seriously contemplated shooting myself in the head because at times it gets so bad, for so long. Don't feel bad for me, just please be careful with your ears. Once the switch is flipped, it can never be turned off and you'll spend the rest of your life running from silence!
Unwarranted Self Importance That was a very incoherent 3 words... 2 of which were synonyms. You basically said the same word twice with the word "edgelord" in the middle... whatever that's supposed to mean.
I’m a classical musician, and the loudest conditions I’ve ever experienced was playing 1812 Overture, with muskets, in Cary, NC with The NC Symphony. Even with ear plugs in both ears I still couldn’t hear myself, and the muskets were still extremely loud.
Stefanie Michael Yes. It means 5 in roman numerals. Lemon Hunter And yes. It's a common mistake to say the "Saturn V" rocket. It's actually the Saturn five rocket, but it's written "Saturn V".
The loudest thing I've ever heard was the last live music performance I went to. And it wasn't even a rock concert. It was a RuPaul's Drag Race show that had the volume up so high, I couldn't understand anything anybody was saying and my ears were still ringing the next morning.
I was driving into the city of Charlotte and was able to hear the top fuel dragsters in my car. The energy the engines give vibrates your entire body. I could not imagine some of these sounds being louder than that.
Hi, Infographics Show. I have a couple questions for if you ever do a Q&A (which you totally should, a lot of my friends want that). 1. How long does it take to make one video? 2. How many people are on The Infographics Channel team? Finally, 3. What is your favorite video on your channel? Thanks a ton!
Just something about the Krakatoa volcano. It was estimated to have generated a noise that was about *310* decibels. But most sounds above 194 decibels are considered more of a shock wave than a sound. And by the way people on the island of Rodrigues reported what they thought was canon shots. People in Perth, Australia reported what they thought was gunshots fired from a near distance. The distance between Krakatoa and Perth is ~3.100 KM. (1,926 Miles.) And the distance between Krakatoa and Rodrigues is ~4.770 KM (~2,960 Miles.) Everyone located within 61 KM (40 Miles) had their eardrums ruptured. It's even louder than it may seem at first. A pressure gauge 161 KM (100 Miles) away measured a sound of 180 decibels. So imagine this. You were in Dublin, Ireland and heard something that sounded like canon shots from a few KM away. Until you find out that the sound originated from central park. And that it took the sound 4 hours to reach you.
The sperm whale’s clicking noises that it uses to communicate reach 230 decibels so the sperm whale is the loudest animal. Not the blue whale or the pistol shrimp.
I would probably scream if i heard any of this, considering everything sounds louder to me than anyone else and even just hearing music on a speaker hurts my ears.
Couple of loudest things I've heard in real life are: train crash at 600m, high speed car crash at 3m, close up lightning strikes (very often), my own stereo system and fireworks up close.
You know in movies when an explosion goes off, and all you hear is this high pitched ringing noise, and everybody's speech is muffled? I always thought that was just sensationalized for TV, but when I got into a car wreck, I realized it was true. How loud is a noise like this, and what happens to your ears, or anything else, that causes this reaction?
I used to do sound design/Foley and audio engineering. I guessed every dB levels correctly as soon as they showed the pictures at give or take around 3dB difference.
When I was in 1st grade, we were outside for recess. the recess area consisted of an asphalt space, a jogging track, and a playground. so, on this Tuesday, we were heading in at the end of recess. it was noon, second Tuesday of the month. So, the tornado siren starts blaring at us, because it was the day for the tornado siren tests. it scares the living s*** out of me, i start running towards the building because i thought a tornado was coming, even on a sunny day. the reason i write this is because we were less than 100 feet away from this tornado siren. So especially when it was pointing at us, it was extremely loud. i was traumatized. i had nightmares, and I would always stay away from it, most of the time never even going on the asphalt. It was one of the worst days of my life.
The loudest thing I've ever heard was lighting striking my house. Although arguments between my parents are worse cause they last longer. I've been conditioned to react violently when yelled at, as I see it as a threat. As a result it is heavily recommended not to yell around me unless you want to risk getting punched.
The loudest thing I've ever heard was an explosion of a car bomb in Baghdad. I was about 200m away, and I lost a friend that day. I wish none of you will ever have to hear such thing
The loudest thing I ever herd was being at least 6-4 ft away from a race car revving it's engine in a tiny garage with the all doors shut. I still didn't get hearing loss lol
You could have mentioned about lightning which causes you to go deaf if you are very close(300m) to it. It was a really good video and you had covered most of things I guess. So I liked it and keep making such videos.
Mello Llama Meh ... I bet it not as loud as Vuvuzela terror at any stadium in South Africa when they held the FIFA World Cup event at 2010. And that is the real football, played by foot ... Muricans
So a few years back, it was probably about 1am or so, and apparently a group of rascals set fire to a man’s truck (rumors say it was because he was gay) about a block away, and the truck and (supposedly) the propane tank near the truck exploded. There was a huge flash of light in the sky, and most of us in the neighborhood were freaking out thinking it was a bomb or a missile or something. Pretty much everyone within the neighborhood woke up immediately, however I was awake when it happened, and in my backyard, so I saw the light and heard the blow. I wouldn’t say it caused any lasting hearing damage for me, but I’m sure the idiots who blew it up were pretty badly damaged, in more ways than one.
One of the loudest things I’ve ever heard was my 2002 Subaru Outback with unequal length headers and a 2.5 inch straight pipe. Next was V8 powered Pontiac G8 that was truly deafening sounding. Next was a Metallica Concert I attended this year.
Someone launched a firework over the house next to me. Fun fact: that firework traumatized my dogs. Literally. Every time they hear a relatively loud bang they freak out.
Racers United yea dragsters are bad, I think the only thing I've been around that was louder was a tractor pull, that shit shook the ground and your whole body so bad it felt you were going to die lmao.
Racers United yea I'm sure lol. they are comparable in sound, but in my experience the large tractors are a tad bit louder along with creating much more shaking.
its also pretty important to note here (if you didn't already, haven't watched all the video yet) that a 10dB increase means a sound that's 10x more powerful (it's a log scale). so that atomic bomb blast was around *one hundred miliion* times more powerful than a magnum revolver firing.
I shot a .410 Shotgun shell without ear buds or ear muffs. That was the day that made me remember to always put of on ear muffs before shooting a shotgun xD (I was trying to kill a possum)
i was on work experience in a fire station and was blindfolded on the floor for some kind of assault course, and when i passed a fire engine someone turned the sirens on and it was so loud my eyes started rolling back
FYI, top fuel dragsters don’t have flames coming out the back. They use the angled up exhaust pipes to create downforce. There are jet cars but to be honest they aren’t the fastest.
I was at m very first rave, and I was front and center. I was pretty close to a monitor at one point and I was right in front of the smoke machine (it shot smoke out quickly at a very high frequency) and my ears ring at night in bed now, idk if it was caused by the rave or if this happened to me beforehand though.

The loudest thing I’ve heard are Dragsters at 160dB, which I have plenty of on my channel!
Racers United yea dragsters are bad, I think the only thing I've been around that was louder was a tractor pull, that shit shook the ground and your whole body so bad it felt you were going to die lmao.
Lzzz Incorporated [SVKL] you sure it was Top Fuel Dragsters? Because it sounds like it has the same effect to me😉
Racers United yea I'm sure lol. they are comparable in sound, but in my experience the large tractors are a tad bit louder along with creating much more shaking.
But that's no match for some animals, like the roar of a lion!
Looks like we have an internet troll in this comments thread

The Nazgúl roar in the cinema is probably the laudest thing I've ever heard!
I am living for the animation
love your videos mate
You probably should have mentioned that decibels are measured on a logarithmic scale, each 10db is ten times as loud.
