What I think could become a good series could be:
*You are an Indian boy who played for an indian team but got a very bad injury that kept him out of football for years. Then you cut to like 10 or so year later when you are around 27-28 yrs old and decide to quit your job to chase your childhood dream which is to become a famous pro footballer. Due to your age most teams don't want you but as soon as you are about to give up a team calls you to tell you that they urgently need a player in a certain position so you start playing for them. But as the Indian league doesn't have that big of recognition, you request a loan which brings you to play in South America. You win Copa Libertadoes which makes bigger clubs in Europe recognise you so you decide to join one big club at the age of 29-30. etc*
You could even do it with a goalkeeper career mode as there hasn't been one in a long time
