Lily Pons, was a French-American operatic soprano and actress who had an active career from the late 1920s through the early 1970s. As an opera singer, she specialized in the coloratura soprano repertoire and was particularly associated with the title roles in Lakmé and Lucia di Lammermoor. In addition to appearing as a guest artist with many opera houses internationally, Pons enjoyed a long association with the Metropolitan Opera in New York City, where she performed nearly 300 times between 1931 and 1960.
Just Fyi, Steve...Frank was married 4 times, not twice. Nancy, mother of jis children, Ava Gardner, Mia Farrow and then Barbara. Love everything you blog!
I genuinely appreciate your work. It is refreshing and uplifting to see videos that are not only interesting but also presented in a positive way with nostalgia and in a way that makes me recall the time in my life when I was young and watched most of the personalities perform in their various shows and movies. It is a very refreshing break from all of the doom and gloom that is just about everywhere you look nowadays. Thanks.
I love these vlogs from sunny, warm places. Here in Canada where it is still cold I can feel the heat coming right thru the screen, may have to put on some sunblock. :) Great job, Steve.
Fantastic vlog! Lily Pons was my mother's favorite singer. She became famous in the States on t.v. and movie's. Thanks for the great tour..If walls could talk.
I kinda liked that first inscription on Frank's grave "The Best Is Yet To Come" Oh well, the family decides. Great to see the warm sunshiny Palm Springs. Nice Hotel. I'd be at the bar.
Great vlog, Steve, as always These are places. I will never get to see. Good to see places where the famous used to hang out as, well Yes we liked that! Kindest regards from the UK.
Incredible collab, my friend. I just love Fridays anymore. I am calling it Steveday from now on although no one understands my smile! As always..thank you for taking me along with you!
💋Great vlog! My very favorite are always your Palm Springs vlogs but I like every one though Steve. You and Jordan are my favorites. Thanks again. Continued Blessings and Support. ~Love&Light💖Carli
So many interesting places in PS. When you live there you don't even realize some of the history. Thanks for sharing your adventures. I'm looking forward to moving back down there sometime in the next few months. I miss it.
Thank you for this video Steve. So many celebrities have been here - just amazing - a beautiful setting and facility. I can't get over the wealth of things to see in your town. Great video. Have a wonderful weekend. Blessings-Judith 🎵🎭
That was definitely a cool video Steve. Thanks a lot. It was also very enjoyable to see you and Scott together. Both of you are the First channels that I subscribed to on RUclips & I've been enjoying them for a few years now. Thank you so much Steve you're doing a great job and I look forward to the next video. Take care and see you later!
Steve. Great vlog as always. Old Blue Eyes will live on forever in his movies and music. Please wear your mask. Covid is on the rise here in Las Vegas. Best to Jim. Stay safe.
Every video I've seen of yours is really awesome Steve. It's fun watching you with the other guys too. I've seen Jordan and Scott on Tapes stuff too. I really appreciate all the work you do for us.
I was watching with my mom, and she said my dad went there a lot with his boss who had a house in palm desert and my dad was his personal security on trips. She said my dad had been there also, when he was in the secret service, before we moved to California. So that is pretty cool to think my dad was there where you and Scott were. Just became a patreon. I am a big fan of yours. Love your videos so much.
Good Morning 🌞 Steve Thank you so much for being back Frank Sinatra , Great memories of him singing and dancing ! Have Wonderful day, Stay safe! 🌈 4 / 23 / 2021 🌈
Hi Steve 🙆♂️🌞! How r you. Gorgeous inn/ restaurant. Yet another humble gravestone for world famous Sinatra 🙏. Im gonna try 😜 to ID those charicatures🤣❗ 🙄🐦🇨🇦
I miss the original kitschy interior with all the fake plants and white painted lattice work covered in dust! We used to go there for Thanksgiving when my sons were young in the 90’s and early 2000’s
July 2023-update: The historic Ingleside INN is now the Ingleside ESTATE under the Proper Hospitality 'Collective' branding. Collective has a number of historic boutique hotels. They include the Avalon Hotel Palm Springs and Beverly hills, Venice V Hotel, The Culver in Culver City. and Paia (on the Hana Hwy) in Hawaii. (The new sign at the front corner entrance at least retains the classic script font of the old Ingleside.)
Hello Steve 👋 very good vlog my friend I like anything to do with old blue eyes.. have you had your mom memorial service yet?I'm subscribed to Scott channel also
I love what masks do for the dialogue. LOL. Are Palms Springs best days behind it? Are Hollywood types still hanging out there? Great video; the light banter was nice.
Lots of celebs still have homes out there but definitely not like the glorious days of the golden era. I lived there for 2 years and never saw any stars LOL
Steve forgive me but... it is important for you and your viewers to know that those photographs you admired so much in Melvyn's were not all taken there. In fact, the late owner Mel Haber had several clubs and restaurants in the greater Coachella Valley area, all of them quite popular with a certain celebrity clientele, so much so that he had a photographer (Allen) on staff to capture moments when a famous person were to come in. Over the years he amassed quite a few photos taken at his many clubs all over the county. Late in life he had sold everything but the Ingleside Inn and decided to gather up all of his celebrity photos, have them framed, and hung on that wall in the bar at Melvyn's for old time sake and to show off his many famous friends he had. Haha.. Only a couple of them were taken at Melvyn's, such as the one with John Travolta (I was performing there that summer night when it was taken. John was not pleased and he hated Mel Haber for it). It is not surprising that people nowadays like to think that all those famous people really were at Melvyn's when in fact it is not true. It is easy to get all impressed and all excited and stat struck I suppose, but beware Steve. Yes Melvyn's had a celebrity clientele (I performed there periodically from the 1970s on and saw many many) but sadly Steve not those celebrities and certainly not in those photographs. Steve you can ask around to any of the folks that have lived here for ages (I've lived here 43+ years), or ask former mayor and now Palm Springs historian Will Kleindienst or ask Mel Habers adult children like his son or his daughter. They will tell you just what I have. Please don't be fooled by any of the stardust around here or any of the BS or exaggerations. Palm Springs has much to boast about without resorting to falsehoods and chicanery from clever promoters. Just a bit of helpful hints that's all.
Hi Steve, wow, thank you for sharing this with all of us. I had no idea. Sounds like you really know Palm Springs! If you ever want to get together and share some of your stories in one of my videos, please let me know. I'd love to meet you. Just leave me a comment if you do. Thanks!
Steve, you must be one of the very few fortunates, or luck-outs, to have visited the gravesites of the three primary "Rat Pack" members (although I did see Peter Lawford's crypt years back before he was cast adrift @ sea), so that's a rather special, exclusive club in and of itself.
Thank you for covering Dads place...
We Love and miss you Dad🥺🥺🥺😘😘😘
PS & the Inn are not the same without you....🥺🥺
Why are you posing? Get a life
Barbara was his 4th wife. Nancy, Ava Gardener, and Mia Farrow
Thanks, Steve, for taking me along on your tour of an elegant place I will never see in person.

I want a mask like yours Steve. Look at my 2 favorites. Thank you. My father stayed at that hotel in the 1950's. What year I'm not sure. 55 or 56.
How cool that your dad stayed here, wow!
Cool party house
I love the old California Spanish architecture. Just a correction, you said Barbara was Frank’s second wife, don’t forget Ava Gardner was number 2.
Barbara was wife number 4
@@LiberaceProtege Your right, Nancy Sr, Ava, I forgot about Mia Farrow and Barbara.
Have you done anything on Hollywood squares
Frank was the man. He still is.
Lilly Pons was a French opera Singer
4th wife, Steve. You’re forgetting Nancy, Ava or Mia? 😀

Have driven by many times but never gone up the drive.
