They might've ended up using an earlier design for a ref. If you look at early merch by Random House, human Bebop's pictured on one puzzle with same skin and hair colour.
I remember when TMNT's was a week long special when I was a kid back in 1984 Bebop was black before he got mutated into a wart hog it's weird they would change from his original race to being white
It's not that weird... back then they didn't really make toys of black characters. (Name ONE other than Lando Calrissian). Remember, this was before Spawn.
@@MICjordanTPR that's not true I had the black action figures from those TV Shows and Movies so your wrong their they based the toys characters off these films so it's very weird they would change his race

Snow flakes in your replies can’t take a joke 😭. No, we don’t care a toy changed his skin tone, we just think it’s funny. It probably did piss off some kids back in the day when they got their toy and watched the show to find out their toy wasn’t accurate though.
I still have these, and about 75 more from the 80s and early 90s, but had all my accessories in another bag thats been missing for years, and probably gone forever, I thought about selling them but they're not worth much without the accessories 😢

Wow, this just unlocked a core memory. I completely forgot I had that exact figure. But I think I broke it, or it got broken or smth, since I don't have it anymore. But man, my mind completely erased that memory
I used to have the Raphael version of these when I was a kid. I don’t think I actually “mutated” him too often because I was too young to entirely understand to change him lol

I had the original mutating Rocksteady but I remembered seeing Bebop similar to the cartoon. I feel like a Mandela effect happened with this figure for me. I am so confused. Obviously he was bulky and not a perfect bebop human form, but the face was fairly close, from my memory. I don't even remember the drills in the feet. Mind blown. 🤯 I even had the mutating Raph.

The fact that he's ginger makes it more hilarious. You know because the trope is usually the other way around?
