Ed is the man when it comes to rein. I have been buying from Ed for 10 years. His wheels are great, especially the American 5 spokes. And his prices are reasonable. Drag City is worth checking out. Kudos to you for promoting Ed's works.
This was very cool of you to do. Ed is one of the absolute best casters out there and a perfectionist, sometimes to a fault! Haha! The chop on that 5W is a scale 4.5 inches and just like in the full scale world when you go past 3” on a 5W things get much more complicated. Also of note is despite the aggressive chop the roof is not lengthened so the fabric insert detail wasn’t disturbed. I had actually started that chop about 2 years before it became a master. Got a bit overwhelmed and boxed it. After two years I had forgotten about it (!), found it looking through boxes one day, studied it for a few minutes and immediately sat down and finished it out kinda effortlessly after two more years of growth in my abilities. I took some pictures and offered it to him as he was needing to come out with fresh products. I’m super proud of how it turned out. Not just the workmanship but The Look. Ed and I had a great phone chat recently and there is another chopped 32 body coming for sure and I’ve got some other ideas he likes for future chopped bodies of other years. 😎
You're right, his stuff is top notch! I just got his chopped 32 3 window that he advertised as a "second" but i sure can't find anything wrong with it. Ive bought wheels from him a few times in the past and never got anything that wasn't perfect.
Definitely going to check them out, those look fantastic! 👍 I've built a couple (and have several) Flintstone bodies...I'm very glad they produce all the really neat stuff they do, but man it really does take a lot of work on some of them, lol 😅
I do not. There was a track nose that came in the old Revell Model A Roadsrwr Pickup kit. It was the 3n1 that could be built as a closed cab or roadster pickup.
Ed’s email was wrong, it’s now correct.
Man that 5 window body is beautiful. Thanks for telling us about him. Ron

I usually don't even look at resin bodies because of how much clean up they need. Thanks for sharing. 🤟🤠👍
