UPDATE: Sold the Simrad Cruise 7, my old Garmin unit had a weaker transducer and was able to mark bottom up to 1200 feet. Not sure why it couldn't but I sold it and bought a new unit with a 1kw transducer for deep dropping. Not sure if i can mount the 8lb transducer to my inflatable but were going to try.
Would this be considered a PWC or a Class A vessel in Hawaii? I am looking at West Marine's Black Friday deals currently but need to know what level licensing I would need to operate. Thank you in advance.
i'm not sure how accurately i can answer your question but I got my boat registered at the DLNR for 12 dollars and because my motor is under 9.9 horsepower's I didn't have to take my captains license class.
Nice. What top speed do you get out of that 9.9? I think I’m about to buy an inflatable for near offshore fishing down here in Costa Rica and it’s hard to find much actual fishing footage on RUclips. Thanks for posting. The RIBs look really seaworthy but I’m slightly concerned about punctures. Folks say they are tough but between big fish, big hooks, gaffs and me occasionally being a donkey you never know.
@@inflatablefishing6912 I meant the fishing rod! I use the tigeR elite jigging rod. That one just looked like a spinning rod. Great fishing tho! Where did you get the electric reel set up?
did that rod break yet?

@@inflatablefishing6912 Ok, thank you. I don't believe I will be over even a 4hp motor.
Still have to take the boaters safety course
@@lyleching in hawaii boats with under a 10hp outboard don't.

any scary moment on the inflatable im thinking about getting one!
none yet! a few sharks get curious but other than that i've been fine for about 3 years now. You just always have to play it super safe.
Isn’t that a spinning tiger elite ? Seems to have huge eyes
Ended up being Opaka a deep water snapper caught in 400 to 600ft.

@@jamesneese2708 oh haha, it is the tiger elite. the electric reel is called the fish winch. It attaches to certain reels.
@@inflatablefishing6912 I’ll have to check that out. Seems easier to maintain then a Diawa tanacom
@@inflatablefishing6912 cool vids. What size and type battery do you run your fish winch off? Ever run out of power? Mahalo!
