Thank y'all so much for 8K subs! Really appreciate it! LOT ROT...is it an issue?
I’m so confused, why don’t they want to sell their cars?
@@RedLeo-pf9yo Oh they do, trust me they do! Lease programs are dog shit, finance rates are dog shit, price of the vehicles...you guessed it...dog shit ;)
Also most people forget the gasket go bad quick, value covers seals, will all dry rot fast if not driven. That it self can cause oil leaks and all kinds of problems….
Good point! Thanks for watching and chiming in :)
Racer X is the man!
For sure!
Thanks for watching my friend!
All you really have to do to keep a car in good shape if it's not being driven much is drive it 10-15 miles every 3-4 weeks. Driving it less than 10 miles won't burn the moisture out of the oil.
The battery also needs to be kept on a tender or just charged every three weeks.
Just starting it up and letting it idle is worse than letting it sit. It will rust out the exhaust system and collect moisture in the engine. It has to be driven.
For your "personal" car...sure! I get it, makes perfect sense. With these dealerships that is 10000% not the case haha. They aren't making sure they are driven, or even started up on a weekly basis. These dealer cars just SIT...that is the concern I have and I feel others should also.
Exactly I’d argue short trips are worse than cars sitting, especially zero mileage cars. These aren’t the cars from the 1940’s.
@@Hellcat71782 I'll accept the argument because it makes sense to me! Not to beat a dead horse, but the content I like to create involves "discussion"...which is clearly happening haha! Appreciate the input...
@@392Reviews I mean you guys think cars are gonna fall apart because they sit outside untouched. You know a car is made a year or more before it arrives at the dealership right? Sometimes 2 years
@@Hellcat71782 no they don't. Do you think a dealer is going to be able to sell a car labeled new that has a two year old production date? It generally takes 6-8 weeks for a car to get from the factory to a dealership. During supply chain issues, there were some that had to sit due to lack of chips, but that isn't the norm.
Yes, There almost 2 years old> 20% off MSRP
Yup!
I see some 2022’s that are new! How much be off on them?
@@capricetony Still not enough. Dodge is on crack.
@@capricetony I would not expect dealers to have 2022s still on their lot, if that is the case stay away haha! We have 24s, maybe 23s. You should expect a decent discount if the dealer is serious about moving them!
@@27Zangle Lmao! Facts!
Lot rot is the worlds dumbest argument. Modern cars don’t get flag spots like the old steel radial tires. It’s just a dumb cheap content for RUclipsrs to make when they don’t have anything else to post. My hellcat has been sitting since November, my 1968 camaro has been sitting since October. These are modern cars nothings gonna happen other than paint issues and a dead battery here and there. Cars sit. I know a guy who has an original Shelby Corbra that his dad left him. Car hasn’t been on the road in 35 years. Show me flat spots on tires from sitting at a dealership. Show me lot rot on a car that isn’t from bare metal. Tires will dry rot irregardless after 5 years. Cars sit for an entire year before they arrive at dealerships. It’s dumb content
Thanks for watching! Sorry to have offended you with my choice of content. You are right, it isn't the most interesting content, but it is what it is. I do this for fun, and hopefully one day it will be more than that. It really isn't that deep, but I thank you for commenting also!
@@392Reviews not offended that’s another issue nobody wants to have a conversation without thinking someone’s a hater or something.
@@Hellcat71782 My comment was genuine, I also agree! I meant nothing by it. Again I appreciate you chiming in!
@@392Reviews no I know I’m just saying racerx his video is ridiculous. Ya the battery might die but the tires will be fine these aren’t radial tires from our grandfathers time lol. The paint might get destroyed only because of the way the $12 a hour detailer they hire. It’s no different than if you buy a car and keep it outside and use it 1 weekend a month. I know a guy his GT250 2018 has 3,000 miles on it and stays outside all year. My hellcat is a 2021 cars got 3,000 miles on it since I bought it and 400 of those miles was driving it home the day I bought it. Still has the stock tires. Cars take more abuse with short drives that’s what hurts them. I wasn’t arguing, I was just saying it’s ridiculous to think a car will rot from sitting. Ever been to a classic car junkyard? Those cars have been there 30 years and you can get them on the road in 2 weeks.
@@392Reviews go look at the video of my 1968 camaro RS/SS….that car was sitting for 10 years. Took me 2 months of just weekends to get it looking like it looks. I just bought a 1982 SEL500 Mercedes car was sitting outside for 15 years or more, new gas, a battery and distributor car runs like new. I drove that thing 100 miles off cape cod last Saturday.
Dude drives like the typical challenger charger driver. That’s the reason nobody buys those turds.
Lmao! Thanks for watching!
Take your purse, get back in your Prius and pickup your boyfriend soy boy
Lmfao still more fun than charging a Tesla or driving a freaking Honda civic/toyota Corolla 🤡
@@NudaMan Bro...there are Nissan Altima's out there that drive more reckless then I do. I think MrJay "highkey" wants a Mopar :)
