Great video. One of the best firearm RUclipsrs out there. Surprised you're not much larger than you are.

I watch a lot of HP tests and too many don't expand. I question why I would pay more for that unknown.

I chose Hornady critical defense 9mm
+P 135 gr Flexlock for my sig P226 elite because this is the ammo the FBI uses. Good enough for them good enough for me. Great video thank you. Also forgot to mention this ammo does not have A set back issue. Set back is when you have chambered A round several times and you start to push the bullet back into the casing. If this should occur and you shoot the set back bullet you will develop higher pressures which will be unsafe and if set back to far could damage the weapon or in the most serious cases blow the pistol up.

I load FMJs in my EDC .380, because under-penetration is more of a concern to me than over-penetration with that less powerful caliber (and the rounds cost less than half what the fancy self-defense rounds cost).

I think the Rittenhouse case proved it doesn’t matter what kind of ammo you used, if the state wants to persecute you, they will. For home defense I definitely understand wanting hollow points as penetration could be a major issue. You don’t want rounds flying through walls into other rooms if you can at all help it.

Even if it's not the state pressing charges. It is the attorney on both sides job to win a case. Therefore, they WILL do everything in their power to do so. Even if it's stacking the court, which is easy to do because anyone that is an option for the jury who owns a gun can be argued as a biased party, and can be removed.

What is the difference between defensive AMMO and duty AMMO?

  • @ChristianConstitutionalist3192

How I Explain The Differences Between FMJ, HP, And Fragmentable Handgun Ammo:
    1) FMJ Is Designed For Target Shooting.
    2) FMJ Is Designed To Enter The Target And Exit The Target.
    3) HP And Fragmentable Ammo Is Designed For Defensive Purposes, But Should Be Test Fired At The Range Every Once In A While.
    4) HP Ammo Expands After It Enters A Target Which Is To Prevent Over Penetration.
    5) Fragmentable Ammo Fragments After It Enters A Target Which Is To Prevent Over Penetration.
On A Rifle It Depends More On The Caliber.
The .223/5.56 55 Grain M193 FMJ Was Designed To Fragment, Tumble, And Yaw.
The 5.56 M855 Green Tip Was Originally Designed To Go Through Vietnam Military Soldiers Helmets.
However REGARDLESS Of What Ammo You Use:
    1) If You Miss There's A Very High Chance Of Over Penetration With Any Caliber Of Any Style.
    2) It Will Be Used Against You If You Are Ever On Trial.
For My Handguns I Only Use Premium Hollow Point (HP) Ammunition For Both Defensive And Range Purposes.
In My Rifle I Mainly Use:
    1) 55 Grain FMJ For Both Range And Defensive Purposes.
    2) 62 Grain Green Tip For Defensive Purposes (I Would Use It For Range Purposes, But Ranges Don't Like People Using Green Tips).
    3) 55 Grain Soft Point For Both Range And Defensive Purposes.
    4) 77 Grain HP Ammo.

Thank you for the Awesome video. I REALLY enjoy your videos. I know after shooting federal syntech defense off and on for a month now, cause your correct on individuals need to practice also with their defense ammo along with their target ammo. That federal syntech defense. Just enough what ANYONE needs to get the job done. That's all you need. Stop the threat. You don't need the round to go thru the threat and thru a dam engine block, thru a building ex. Need need it to get the job done

The Yankeemarshal said that over penetration is a myth and there is no known real cases where it did😳🤣✌️🍺🇺🇸
