SUBHANALLAH. Very nice reaction sisters. Baba Ratan an Indian merchant used to travel to Arabia for business and on one such journey he saw a very beautiful young boy was looking after his goats and that young boy wanted to jump over the other side of a fast flowing stream. Seeing this he made a sign language meaning he would help him cross the stream. So he carried the young boy over on his shoulders to the other side ; after been on the other side of the stream the young boy said certain words seven times which he did not understand but unknown to Baba Ratan the beautiful young boy had wished him a long life seven times.Many many years have long gone by and one day Baba Ratan was lying on his bed in the evening in his courtyard when he saw the splitting of the moon. He jumped out from his bed and began to wondered what had happened. It was the talk of the town and people began to asked each other about the incident. One day they saw a group of travelers had arrived from Arabia who were asked if they had witnessed the splitting of the moon and it were these travelers said that a man had appeared in their land and is claiming to be a prophet.
Hearing this,Baba Ratan was so eager to meet this prophet that he began another journey especially to meet him. When he reached Mecca he was told that this prophet had migrated to Medina so he thought he had travelled so far he might as well go to Medina.
On reaching Medina he was told the prophet was in the mosque so made his way to the mosque where he saw the holy prophet(s.a.w) sitting and was surrounded by his companions. Baba Ratan made his way towards the Holy prophet (s.a.w) and while still in conversation with the holy prophet(s.a.w) he asked the holy prophet (s.a.w) to blessed him.
So the holy prophet (s.a.w) smiled at him and told Baba Ratan ''but I did blessed you so many years ago and I blessed you seven times'' . It then dawned on Baba Ratan that very beautiful young boy whom he had helped to cross the stream so long ago and this very handsome man who was smiling at him were one and the same person.
It was said that for every one blessing he received his age was increased by 100 years and Baba Ratan lived on earth to see seven centuries passed by. Some say he is buried in Sri Lanka and some say he is buried in India.
He embraced Islam soon after meeting the prophet but very few people know that he was the oldest shahabi of the beloved holy prophet(s.a.w).
The irony is the beloved holy prophet's (s.a.w) own uncle Abu Jahl who asked him to saw them the miracle never became a Muslim and yet a man liiving some 4000 km away became a Muslim.
