This story actually originated from Japan. The manga is called Parasyte written by Hitoshi Iwaaki and they also have an anime with 24 episodes called Parasyte: The Maxim. They also did a live adaptation movie with the same name.

@@user-rj9rv8qj9z I didn't say that Parasyte the Grey is a 'live adaptation' because I know that it's a 'live-action spin-off'. What I have said is that the original manga and anime, in which Izumi Shinichi is the protagonist, also have a live adaptation. I think it's two movies, to be exact. So if people kind of like Parasyte the Grey and they're interested in finding out more about the series but don't like to watch the anime or read the manga of Parasyte, they can try watching the live adaptation of it.
This is how live-action adaptation should be. Give us an original story and expand on the world instead of just retelling the story that we already know. That way, people won't complain as much.
Yeah. It was stated that the parasite takes whole world not just japan. That’s why it was interesting to see the story takes in different place.

I loved the anime and I did not expect this to be this good. First episode went by fast. I’m glad it’s different from the anime and not just a recreation. Special effects are pretty decent.

I think by usual the parasite should take over her brain, but as she was stabbed before the parasite entered her, the parasite had to heal/repair her body first, and maybe thats why it failed to take over her brain totally, and ended up living in her.
Yeah it basically matured while healing her.
The same thing happened in the anime. There are a few ways to become a mutant.

Korea tends to use a lot of knives or blunt weapons like pipes to fight in shows/movies unlike a lot of US movies or shows that use guns (which are imo much cleaner). Theres a lot of knife violence/stabbings in Korean crime in general

iphones are also huge in korea. and they sometimes didnt care if some characters uses iphone, but samsung always sponsored most of kdrama/kmovies so when you watch it you'll notice that most of the character use samsung (but usually in real life, the actors phones are actually iphone.😂)

I was wondering if somone whos seen this show actually saw the anime or read the manga and or the movies. Like i kove this franchise and i always wondered what other countries whwre doing wail shanichi was doing his thing in japan

You need to watch the Japanese live action versions first before you watch the last EP of the Korean version
