Great vlog. It reminded me of being on a small wooden Greek ferry that island hopped. We came so close to Turkey that the old Greek passengers on board, threw their hands in the air and started cursing at their old conquerers. Anyway, loved the lounge Jazz music halfway through the vlog, the beautiful water and of course your threads. Perfect for a Mediterranean boat trip.
@@BridgingtheMap when you start your Greek adventures, you'll come across this animosity through customs, songs and history. Both beautiful countries, so similar and yet poles apart. 😊
I was (motor)boating from island to island in Greece. Really not far from where you guys are now, so I know how amazing it is! It was the boat of local friends, we only met a few tourists since we visited the smaller, unknown places. Hope to go back there soon. :)
With this wonderful video as a lifeline, you should one day sail all of Greece's coast and waters. Also. I just checked your recent videos. Like "deepest canyon in Europe" and so on. But if you like nature, then Greece is a bigger paradise than Turkey. First of all Greece has 16.000 km of the most crystal clear seas one gets, and while Oldeniz in Turkey is incredible (I have been there), In Greece you have 1001 beach sites that are incredible and with unmatched waters. Fteri and Myrtos in Kefalonia, Antipaxos and Voutoumi beach, Navagio bay, Egremni and Porto Katsiki, Balos lagoon, Elafonisi, Koufounisia, Orange beach in Halkidiki and endless other beaches all across Greece that you will fall in love with. The perfect sailing spot also. PS. Deepest canyon in Europe? Greece has many incredible canyons and gorges. And the video I saw from you, Well there are so many incredible canyons that are breahtaking. First of all. The actual of of the 3 deepest gorges in the world is found in Greece and is after the Grand canyon and the Colca canyon in Mexico the deepst gorge in the world. It's called the Vikos gorge in the province of Epirus in Greece which is heavenly. Also the longest gorge in Europe is the Samaria gorge. And without overdoing it, let me just say that aside 16.000 km of crystal clear coastlines with a diversity and beauty that is unrivaled in the Mediterranean, Greece has 80% mountains, the clearest rivers in Europe like Voidomatis, Archeron springs, Aoos river and so many more. And if that isn't enough, Greece is full with geological paradises like for example what you liked in Cappadocia. Greece has it's own geological wonders like the world renowned Meteora, but also the Geological island of Milos which is a complete geological wonder full with landscapes of all colors. Black, red, yellow, green, white and other color rocks/cliffs/soils, and is but one of the many more areas around Greece with geological wonders. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. So if you loved Turkey, try Greece one day too. Check things like: Epirus, Pindus mountains, Mount Olympus, Vikos gorge, Aoos gorge, Acheloos valley, Karpenisi, Agrafa mountains, Parnassos mountains, Giona mountains, Archeron springs, Kalamas bridge, Meteora, Mount Helmos/Aroania/Kyllini,Taygetos, Mystras. Also the only monastic state in the entire world on the "holy mountain of Athos". Halkidiki, Pozar springs, Koronisia, Pelion, Lichadonisia, Strofolia forest, Tzoumerka mountains, and so so so much more. Just these couple of regions and areas on Mainland Greece I mentioned alone (didn't mention even a single island for fun) is a trip of a lifetime. One you will never forget.
And this is a lot of information. But trust me on this, spend an hour of video's of just these places, mountains, regions, beaches and Im sure it will inspire you :) Also some wonderful videos of mountaineering in Greece from youtube Channels like Frozen ambrosia or Greece (a couple of videos): a line of snow (1 video). Unfortunately nowadays RUclips prevents us from posting any links. RUclips auto-deletes the whole comment. So, unfortunately Im not able to give wonderful video links myself on here :) Anyway, enjoy your trip!!
