I don't suppose you caught any images of where the blend door was when you had the blower out? My blend door actuator wont switch to cool so my air con is not getting to the vents. Tested the air con system and that's all nicely pressured up and gets ice cold but inside the car we're only getting hot air. I'm assuming the blend door will be just by the blower you removed?!
Hi Paul, sorry, I didn't capture that. However, its only a few screws to drop the blower motor so it shouldn't be too much of a pain for you to gain access and find out... Good luck...
As you say, I would certainly expect the same setup on the opposite side. It really is a very simple fix and I would encourage you to give it a shot. Do let me know how you get on…
Would it not have been more prudent to test the heater motor first using your meter or puting 12 volts through it. Save buying what you dont need and if working for the same money you could have a new resistor (Which is usualy the cause, I have changed mine 3 times over the years and is normally in stock at most motor factors like Swedish, german & french or Euro car parts).
Great question… before the blower motor packed in I had a blocked front drain point (below windscreen and above gearbox) where leaves and debris had gathered. Accumulated rain water had over spilled into the passenger footwell which was the obvious cause. I had already fixed that a month before the blower motor issue!
Ive got rain coming in. Ive been unable to fix blocked drain. I recently exchanged the pollen filter and took of the cover to the fan and noticed water in the fan housing. The blower was working after exchanging the filter but a day later not working. Hopefully a fuse. Your advice excellent
Where are the fuses I should check before doing the rest of the job? Thanks for the excellent video!

what should the voltage be at maximum 5th blower speed?? I have about 7v
I can't recall as it's been a while but if you look at the video I think I take it up to max blower and you can see the readout...
Fantastic Really informative
I'm looking into doing the blower motor on a slk230 left hand drive. I'd imagine it would be on the passenger side (right side)

Thanks my friend !

I had a high level of confidence that the motor was dead before buying a replacement and the overall fix was cheap and efficient...
Why was there water in there? And how do you fix that problem?

Hi Chris how did you fix that

Damn it
