If you're a foreigner, this app is the one for you! Unlike the SRT app, you can actually purchase tickets through the KTX app with a foreign credit card. Watch and see for yourself!

Can you preselect an assigned seat? I’m traveling with party of 3 and I want us to sit together.
That is possible if you do first class but for the regular seats, no. However, if you buy all three tickets at the same time, you'll have a great chance that you'll all sit together 😁 my friends and I would do that all the time traveling to Busan ❤️

Yep! Just be sure to select the correct date of departure and it should be fine!
Thanks for the reply! But I was looking at my reservation and it doesn’t say anywhere about which platform or car number it is. I assume KTX 005 is the train number, is the number below the cabin class the platform number or is that the train number? I’ve checked everywhere for more info but I can’t find any. I apologise for the questions!

If 12A is your seat number, what is the car number? 13?

so the payment should be made using credit card, I made a payment using debit card then it said "cancelled itinerary issue not available"

Nope! Once you've made reservations (and paid for them) you're good to go!
There is no app called the ktx app.
Correct, it's not called "KTX". Search "KorailTalk" and you'll find it 💪
Hi, once I purchased the tickets on the app, do I just go directly inside and wait for the train? I mean, how will they verify my ticket?
Great question! The way Korea monitors "who" has a ticket is actually really smart. When you buy a ticket, you're assigned a seat number. After every stop, a train attendant will walk through each car with a tablet that says which seats are paid for and which aren't. Therefore, they don't verify that YOU have a ticket, rather they verify that the seat you are sitting in has been paid for. As long as you're in your assigned seat, you'll be just fine!
@@globetrotterkyle so you mean to say that once I arrived to my station of departure, just go straight into the platform and wait for my train? no talking to attendants before entering the platform?
@@ryekun1212 yep, that's right!! You might have to scan to get through a turnstile but that'll depend on the station 🙂
