They train for years in terms of singing, dancing, acting, etc. No salary given or whatsoever and no guarantee of debuting too. The leader of Stray Kids trained for 7 yrs before debuting. While SB19 trained for 3 years. That's it. Intense training for 8 hours a day, 6 days a week.

When they mean training, that includes: weekly or monthly evaluations: where the trainees were given a specific period or time to practice sing and dance that depends on what type or theme the Judges has given to them. Like for example, the trainees was given a week to group themselves into small groups of 3-5 persons and perform sing and dance, the theme given was 90's so they must cover the song of their choice. at the end of the week like Sat or Sun they will have evaluation. Its like an examination where the judges decides who improves their skills and who did not. The ones who passed the evaluation will stay as a trainee and will proceed on taking classes in the company while the ones who didn't will be eliminated. The process will continue till the company decides the final members of the new band/group they want to debut officially. That's why in the interview at 11:57 they have mentioned there are more members (trainees) before and 5 of them selected debuted at the end as SB19. Classes: Of course all those years doesn't only rotate on evaluation and them practicing their performances. The also have classes per day like Vocal class, Dance class, even breathing, manners, public speaking and meditation? I believe SB19 have mentioned this on one of their interviews as well. Korean language and culture class, even though sb19 were trained here in the Philippines they have to study korean stuffs because they are under a korean company even though it was based here in the Philippines.
