I’m guessing they just synced the wrong audio in editing. There’s an ACTUAL Ice Cream Sandwich part later in the vid. They just mixed up which ice cream audio cue went with which.
Don't believe it was wire EDM, which has to have straight line of sight, this technique could not make pockets. Brilliant machining on a very accurate CNC milling machine.
0:25 I agree with you about those blades needing to be covered! (I'll bet that they removed the regular cover simply to show its inner workings for filming purposes!) 😊
11:48 this is actually a tap being used unconventionally to cut a male thread. A tap has male threads cut along it's length to create what are called flutes. A die has a threaded hole in the middle with similar openings like the flutes. The tap in this picture has four flutes. It is fixtured in this lathe with one flute facing upward. It is on a moving platform to cut the male threads of the workpiece using the male threads of the tap. I wonder if the shape of the workpiece will be correct because I think the tap and the die are not quite the same. Many times, I have seen threads cut using a pointed tool that cuts a single thread, deeper and deeper on each pass. But I have not before seen this method. It is an interesting approach.
Same here. I'd say the correct tools were not available because sometimes you have to get a bit creative. usually one would use, just as @Dennis Fox was saying, a single toothed tool which cuts deeper and deeper until finished.
0:53 Your calculations are correct about machine's capabilities. However, the amount of production in the factory operation is not that much. The process takes place in the factory where workers work in a shift system. Each shift will require an output calculation, machine set up and start up that need to slow up even stop the machine (excluding sometimes the machine has problems). Usually in one day there are two to three shifts of workers. Sorry for my bad grammar 😬
Idk what the point was. But that bowl makes a noise when you rub that stick along the outside and since it was filled with water, the vibrations were causing whatever was inside to rotate with the stick
@@cake6420 no the rpm and fps synchronize and that’s why it looks like it’s not moving… it could be rotating once per hour and you take one picture per hour then it will look as if it is not moving… so is has nothing to do with going fast🤷

Those two pieces that fit together seamlessly are cut with wire Edm, it is so precise we make very complicated machinery with them.

Never seen that before either. Just thread it on the lathe. Or put it in a mill vise and thread mill it.

the blades cutting potatoes are not going “so fast they look slow”… it is an effect of the camera fps and the blades rpm
So you mean it's quite literally moving too fast so that it looks slow? Wild right?
