Is a Pin the same as a Password or is it something different?

Unfortunately it doesnt work on mine :/ i am unable to reset PIN it constantly loops back to something where i begin and it seems like to reset PIN i need a PIN. What a silly situation. I am stuck with this problem and could not find any solution for last 2 years
I have been logging in for the past few months with the same pin, and for some unexplained reason, I have completely forgotten my damn pin....No idea how that happened....thanks for the help!
I've setup a relatively simple PIN CODE for my Win10 login. I don't see a chance for forgetting it; thanks to Brain for the tutorial to reset if necessary.

I had issues with my sign in
To reset my password, I now have a screen notification that says this feature requires a removable disk, such as a USB flash drive, and then try again.

*Good timing Britec lol* ~ ive been trying to shut down "hello", turn off pin (because its required) and just have my mums new computer start up and go directly to the desktop without the need for log in. If you can help with that, that would be great to do a video on as loads of forums with trouble.
Windows home 10. Ive tried:
settings >accounts >sign in options >forgot my pin >leave blank
settings >accounts >sign in options >remove
netplwiz >unticked "user must enter..." >apply (doing this just means youll have to also log in with a password, so now youll have two things in the way grrr)
maddening... any help would be greatly appreciated

It appears on the Reset dialog box it asks for the Current PIN {which obviously don't know} before I can enter a new PIN; when will it show my current PIN to allow me to enter new/confirm PIN?
Can you make a video on sysmain in task manager with high disk usage problem?

Please make a video how to reset / correct error you do not have permission to modify the settings of this printer contact your system administrator... My security tab under is also greyed out under printer properties, and thanks for the video.

I had a one time strange happening this morning/Windows 10. When I came out of sleep mode my monitor would not come on. I shut down and restarted and now works fine I presume/not put in Sleep mode yet. Any ideas? Thanks

I never use a Microsoft account, I always set up Windows as an offline account.

Absolutely. The trouble is Microsoft makes it so difficult to set up a local account on a new computer. The secret during setup is to indicate you have no internet access so you just need to enter a user ID and leave the password blank. The setup will complete and now you can go back in the user account settings and put in a password if you like and then connect to your internet.
Off this topic but can you take a bios bootable .iso image and change it to a uefi bootable image???

No it will not if you do not have landline internet. I use wireless wi-fi hotspot from my smartphone and just says unable to connect no Network!

I used another email because the email I used for the computer doesn't exist, and at the end, it says:
Something went wrong
We weren't able to set up your PIN. You can try again, or skip this step and set up a PIN later.

You can also use the windows authenticator app you can verify its you through this method also

I did this 4 years ago and dont remember anything -I guess i did a accout and if I did I dont remember a thing..... thanks microsoft -when the new era of knowledge are the era of wasted information and making everything very difficult .Whats a PIN ? dont know

I have my PC set so I don't have to use a password or pin. So, not a problem.
Wish it was that simple.
@@Britec09 It is that simple. I sign into my MS account when I first install Windows, then use netplwiz to bring me to the page where I can uncheck the box that says users must sign with a password.
