In the lol community there is the meme that riot (the company behind lol ) is better at making music videos, music and cinematics than balancing their game
Miyeon (ahri the girl with the crystal tails) soyeon (akali the girl with the mask) jaira burns (kaisa the girl with the shoulder pads that dodge the car) madison beer (evelynn the girl with the long tail like things from her dress) those are the characters with the singers
apparently the developers just wanted to make something cool, but for some reason the people in charge of logistics at riot games are able to just pull off crazy good music videos, so they made this one and were completely caught off guard by the popularity outside the league comunity. however, they have made 2 entire albums of music for their first fictional band, so people are hopeful that riot will make a album. they also made this beautiful and tragic music video ruclips.net/video/vzNcSvKCOyA/видео.html its not kpop, but it shows how they have a history of great media output.
Man, just from that brief description I instantly knew what video you had linked xD as someone who's a very big fan of surrealist imagery, I absolutely LOVE that video! And while they have done cool music videos in the past and such, they really outdid themselæves on this one, holy crap xD
N3V3R FORGOTT3N Nope, she does the intro, the parts before the down,down... and round,round...(ALONE) plus ad libs during the chorus. She sings more than Madison and Soyieon so I guess she doesn’t ONLY sing the chorus but people don’t give the right credit to her
@@matthewlee567 To be fair, like most live performances, they were using playback. You can easily see the parts where the performers weren't singing and the playback is playing, that being said, there's nothing wrong with that, it just doesn't meant shit since it has no basis on who sings what in the studio version of the song. This is super common and it's really fucking annoying that people don't know more about how studio vs live performances work.
Ahri" The nine tail fox is in the laundromat because she has been several different characters in league of legends, so she is washing the clothes of the last characters outfit that she wore, she also threw the heart at us because its one of her attacks. I LOVE AHRI
Riot games, the developers of League of Legends have been making "hype videos" for their national tournament "worlds" for a long time now, this is the most recent example of that. You guys should definitely check out the other songs and videos they have done for worlds, none of them are K-Pop but they are all fantastic songs and amazing videos! Links to those below; Worlds 2017 "Legends Never Die." - ruclips.net/video/r6zIGXun57U/видео.html Worlds 2016 "Zedd: Ignite." - ruclips.net/video/Zasx9hjo4WY/видео.html&t Worlds 2014 "Imagine Dragons: Warriors." - ruclips.net/video/fmI_Ndrxy14/видео.html Worlds 2015 is not listed because as far as I know they didn't really make a video, just a song. Great song, but perhaps not react worthy. I hope you guys can get to these videos because they are truly fantastic! League of Legends is a very competitive game that really focuses on E sports and professional play, so these promotional songs and videos are used as marketing tools to get people excited about both the game and the upcoming world championships. Legends Never Die depicts multiple in game characters struggling to better themselves and reach legendary status. "League of /Legends/" Zedd: Ignite depicts pro gamers as their "Legend" counterparts in game, and Imagine Dragons is the classic rise of an underdog type story/song/video. Hopefully this gave you some better info and maybe convinces you to check these videos out! Great reaction btw, I'm definitely going to subscribe.
For people who are not familiar with the in-game characters: - Akali, the girl with the hat and rapping. In game, she's a very aggressive "in your face" assassin. In the video, she is the main rapper. Also her spray can is a smoke bomb in the game. - Ahri, the nine tailed girl. In game, she's an attractive mage with the ability to charm and steal spirit from her enemies. This originates from Chinese/Korean folk lore. There is a Pop Star Ahri skin in the game, and you can see that costume in the laundry basket at the beginning. In the video, she's the main Korean vocalist, and assumingly the big star of the group. - Kai' Sa, the girl with two little floating wings behind her. In game, she's a mobile attacker that shoots out plasma. The shot where she was shooting out a bunch of mini missiles is one of her abilities in game. In the video, she's the main dancer of the group, highlighting her agility by showing her dodging the high speed car. - Evelyn, the girl with the shades and twin tails. In game, she's a literal succubus. Her in game ability let her stays permanently stealth. That's why the video, she's always the character standing the the background, hiding in the shadow. She's the main English vocalist and also the "bad girl" of the group.
Song and sound design by the sound devs at Riot. The character skins are available in game now. KDA stands for "Kills/Deaths/Assists". Lastly, league does a LOT of music videos, most fantastic I'm out! ^_^
I've played LOL before but I'm not as knowledgeable compared to my lil bro. He told me before but I forgot, but soyeon is Akali(poonytail), miyeon is Ahri(fox girl), Jaira is KaiSa, and Madison is Evelynn(the circle glasses, the long nails lol). I'll have to ask my bro later haha. But yeah, as my brother and I can agree on, this song is soo goodd! Haha
Your research is very much appreciated and I agree with a lot of your comments about how cool it is that this is bridging the gap between fan bases and it is a win win in my opinion
Soooooo... this is a bit late, but here ya go. Soyeon is the voice of Akali (the girl with the paint and the lightsaber looking things) Miyeon is the nine-tailed-fox ahri, Madison Beer is the voice of Evelynn (the one with the lambo and the crazy long nails) and Jaira Burns is Kai’sa (the one who dodged eve’s lambo and has the wings)
Well you guys really should Check out the opening Ceremony where they performed live to see how the group worked out in a live setting... Wit some cool effects xD
if u thinking of playing league maybe find a friend that play it with so u won't feel the experience of toxic player atleast now player are less toxic for the past few year but there gonna be still some people that are toxic also note they already did an anime video as well they made star guardian cosmetic for the character so your wish has been granted k-pop and anime are coming together through league
I think K/DA is a new line of skins (character models you can buy) that is supposed to be an alternate reality where all the champions are pop stars. I think the initials are a reference to an esports statistic.
Riot Games actually picked Soyeon and Miyeon before march which is before they joined (G)I-dle. Riot was looking for their talent from their previous groups and experience which is really cool!
Madison Beer does Evelynn's voice, the (G)I-DLE So-Yeon does Akali's voice and Miyeon does Ahri's voice and Jaira Burns does the Kai'sa's voice and the choreography from the clip.
Just finding out about this whole thing. Totally amazed and jaw to the floor. Now to educate myself on KPOP. I have tried the game too and it's pretty fun, and free. Thanks for posting :)
What is she doing in a laundromat? She is "washing" the costume for a previous skin. She's metaphorically putting aside/away another diva persona for this one.
A little advise, wait till the end of the video to review and analyze the video. When you talk during the video, it runs the quality for everyone to hear it who hasn't seen or heard the video. That's the whole point of a reaction video, is to wait till the video is over then talk about it.
"I might.... start playing League of Legends now.""
The salt mine welcomes you

I wouldn't be surprised if Riot does more K/DA on the sidelines. They're more than welcome to!
and the one from amumu wtf, great music vid one of the best for sure
if riot doesnt make a album ill riot
@@myrkurvr they already said that they were planning on releasing more songs of them.
ahri (9-tail fox) is washing her old popstar outfit
N3V3R FORGOTT3N Actually, she’s washing multiple outfits. Popstar Ahri, Star Guardian Ahri, and her regular outfit too.
I need to watch that more closely. I only noticed the idol outfit.
Old one was better.
@@ReeYuuJee i like this one
THAT'S WHAT I WAS ABOUT TO TYPE OMFG
She is washing her Pop-Star and Star Guardian clothes at 3:09 ...she got like 999+ skins xd
take off two nines and the plus and you are right lol^^
Yeah the others are taking up the rest of the washing machines.
I think it's only the pop star outfit, but I guess it could also be the SG skin under it ;;
well her original outfit is in there too, basically, shes washing her old self because she has moved on to her new life in K/DA.
jaira is the one who nails the high notes in the chorus and her only part singing is in the chorus

Is it just a coincidence that Akali is the most smaller in the group? xD
why does erika looks like "Kimchi" from the Kimchi & Tofu channel? WOW!!!
does the girl with the red shirt has some sort of facial hemiparesis?
