The speed with which those roads are repaired and replaced is incredible. In England we've got massive pot holes two years old, so can you send some of your road firms to us?
It is wild to see the steam coming out of the gravel of the new roads due to the heat of the lava below. I hope they are paying all those construction workers well to work in hazardous conditions to rebuild these roads across lava that is less than a month old.
We drove that exact road last evening, and it was a bit scary. So much smoke there from the lava and I couldn't see more than a couple of feet in front of the car or tell where the sides of the road were.
In Italy 60 years to build a bridge over the Strait of Messina. Here you travel the streets on boiling lava less than a month after the eruption. You are amazing and super efficient
Do not think it's healthy to inhale the smoke. What does ist smell like? Sulfur? Have to admit, the street workers over there are incredible - how fast they repair everything to make surpassing possible. Thanks for taking us with you! Warm regards from Vienna
I wonder what the road surface temperature is in the new section? Iceland road crews are amazing, building a road over recently cooled lava....they have a lot of experience doing this now.....
What does the lava do to the tyres? Do they get worn down quickly as I imagine it is sharp (and still hot). Does the sulfur dioxide destroy the bodywork of the vehicles?
Is this the 3rd time the lava has crossed this road this year? I'm so impressed with how quickly they get the road repaired and shocked seeing the smoke coming from the edges of the road. Thanks for sharing, I'll be there in August to see it myself.
Some speculation on Willseys channel somebody ran the data points and came up with September 14th as the next eruption 🌋. You may already have seen this news
Very good evening my dear friend bro I am very busy person for personal life me ok and tomorrow morning ke time me Mera exam start hone wala hai 21 June se ok and this exam result information kar dege ok social media pe ok 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Why drive so close to those in front. Are you in some kind of rush? The video is about staring at the back of a car and bus. Nice, just what people want.
Human beings are a strange species. Volcanos have pushed back every life form for the past 3.8 billion years. Modern humans just toss some gravel over top to get to our spa.
Icelanders are so creative, industrious, and brave dealing with all of this
It must be a strange feeling driving over a road that is smoking!

It's not the road firms, it's the regulators!
We could use them in the USA too
Nice to see! Sadly you did cut off too early! Would have loved to see the rest of the road till Blue Lagoon... Anyways, Thanks Roman!
Excellent! Would like to see the rest of the drive to the Blue Lagoon.
So interesting how road has been made so quickly. Watching from New Zealand 😮

Mind boggling 😳

Must be still pretty hot!!!
Wow, that's wild. Still smoking too!
Thanks for sharing. Stay safe. ❤️😊

Driving on a road built on smoking lava is not where I want to drive! Thanks and stay safe.
Do you consider uploading full onboard video? This is so interesting!

I believe the sign before the patch says to DO NOT STOP. The road is hot but as long as the vehicle keeps moving, the tires should be fine.

it's the road from south, Grindavik ti Svartsengi/Blue lagoon, and it' overflown 2 times by the lava. All the best you guys
@wthorwirth thanks for the reply
Great, the way the Icelanders live with the volcano. I guess you must not stop on the newly laid pieces, you might melt or burn you tyres.
YTM !! From Mukilteo, Wa. Thnx GutnTog !!

The floor is lava, just say it.
That there's still magma under the roads and next to those houses is scary.
Hot, hot, hot !
Are the road hot and if so does it melt down the tires?
Hair-raising with all that hot lava still giving off fumes!
How far from Reykjavik is this and do you need some kinda permission driving there?
No permit but Blue Lagoon reservation...60 min drive from Rvk
Still got electric cars Roman

If this is a "dash cam" it makes it look like you are up high in a cab of a semi tractor trailer .
It's a small bus!

NVM You are not driving, you are in a bus 😊
He's driving that bus!
