Many thanks for a fair and reasonable assumption to what really is required for true power requirements.
The systems are becoming very advanced , Yet quite simple to understand.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes they definitely are becoming more advanced and we definitely try and keep them as simple to understand for the owners as possible. 👍

Great advice- go to a specialist such as an caravan repair specialist or a RV competent auto electrician. Buy a complete system with a good brand and budget to spent 15-25K to fit out a great system.
Mine is a full Enerdrive system and has 1400w of solar power and 600 amps of lithium battery.

Thanks for the comment and watching. We always recommend taking a basic package from the manufacturer and going and seeking out an expert for your offgrid system.

It is hard to believe that Australia does not have regulations to assure that systems are installed too correct and safe standards. I own an off grid "travel trailer"(in USA). After seven months I can say all systems were installed correctly more or less. There always seems to be some QC problems like rusty nuts on junction boxes, screws not set deep enough, the use of screws when bolts would have been better.

Hi SkylinersYeti. Yes we definitely see a lot of actually issues in this industry for sure.

I hear that quite often from new caravan owners.
What they’ve paid for doesn’t quite meet the expectations.
It looks very neat now we’ll done 👍

Thanks Stephen. Yes unfortunately experience and quality vs outlay of $ doesn't necessarily match up in the caravan industry. All too common. Seek out a specialist for your offgrid solutions is our best advice.

I’m heading over west just after Easter next year. Let’s catch up for a beer and we can do a video on some common issues we find exactly like this.
    Well done Dan 👍🍻👍

Yet another example of a failed off grid setup installed from factory. I bet these customers are glad you have sorted it out.
The old magic loop too OMG 😮

We install BM pro system where I work and some of the systems get the BC300. It is the the most pathetic shunt monitor on the market in my opinion. The mounting of it is just painful especially when you run a battery with a stepped lid. The data available to the operator from the shunt is as handy as tits on a bull. I definitely can’t recommend it to anyone. The other problem we have as a manufacturer is people don’t understand what they are purchasing. They want all the bells and whistles for bottom dollar so they end up with systems that are not capable of functioning to their needs.

The biggest issue we see with these systems from manufacturers are the installed locations, cable sizing and quality of terminations. Usually manufacturers install these units into an overhead cupboard which is too far away from the battery creating issues with volt drop.
These units are great for small systems which just want to run lights, pumps and fridge. Outside of that we go outside of their design parameters and they become less useful.

So I found this channel…. and it’s a fantastic resource. Question if I may… when not on shore power, and I turn on my enerdrive inverter…. the battery charger should be off. Is this correct. Thanks again for the work you put into the content.

Hi @rtarrant1 and thanks for the comment.
That’s is correct. Your AC charger should not be active while you are offgrid running from your inverter.
