I'm kinda curious how that shoe would compare to a standard steel toed shoe.
Fun fact that you may or may not know, sketchers makes steel toed shoes.

Have had mine for over a year cost me I believe 90 dollars so far they have lasted longer than the last pair of boots I bought which were 275 dollars. And are still in great shape considering I work on concrete 9 hours a day and hike alot with them

Here's a tip when using an angle grinder, make the sparks go towards you so the grinder is pulling away. That way if it grabs it won't shunt into you.
Bro, not only would the sparks be a problem you would effectively get metal pieces shot into you. Why do you think there is a metal guard??

@@MassSolarClosers Yeah on the side of the shoe if you listen they even said that if their feet were in the shoe they wouldn't have been effected there's a metal plate covering the area your foot rests
I love those shoes they are really comfortable I've been using them for work instead of steel toe boots for the longest time😂

In the Navy we were told the purpose of the steel toe boots were both for protection against minor drops. For major drops on your feet, the steel cap was designed to cut off your toes so you can remove and continue to move.
I'd wear the burnt one.

I had someone argue with me once that steel toe boots are a bad idea because when something hits them they could shatter and stab into your feet. They somehow refused to understand that if enough pressure is being applied to break steel, it doesn’t matter if the steel is there or not because your foot is going to be destroyed anyway. 😑
The steel plate is designed to flatten and cut off your tows under heavyweight saving the rest of your foot
UBT pixielox the only way this would be true is if fell perfectly at the end where it would have barely missed your toes, but since it caught the steel toe it cut your toes off.....highly unlikely though

I have a version of these that are a mesh material but all of the same quality and I can say you are right about the way they feel when you wear them

Freakin' Reviews actually went over these shoes, while also comparing them to the Amazon knockoffs, as well as actual workboots.
TL;DR, don't buy them, they're not worth it.
Kids in my welding class got them and within a week they had to get actual steel toe boots because sparks would melt threw the fabric and on to there foot

My father once had a huge roll of I believe it was some sort of cable (not positive) roll over his foot. He had steel toe boots on and it definitely saved his toes. They’re a little messed up, but he still has all of them. I wholly suggest steel toe boots to anyone working on or around construction.

Certainly one of the most durable pair of shoes I owned I bought a pair after seeing this video (as I had switched jobs recently and was in the habbit of wearing steel toed shoes) I was amazed at how light they are (certainly not as light as a regular pair of sneakers but certainly lighter then the average steel toed shoe or boot) Only thing I can recommend is if you buy a pair do not let them touch any kind of corrosive chemical (I used to work at a place where we had to wear special chemical resistant shoes due to the types of chemicals we handled so I was used to being able to step in pools without worry of my shoes being effected)
You said one thing that turned me off: "Came from China."
I always buy steel-toed shoes, and these tests that you did seemed 'kinda "duh" to me, as that is why I buy steel-toed shoes. But that is just me.
The commercials show more nails. More nails=more surface area. More surface area=less damage. Like ppl that do the bed of nails, you see more nails cause the surface area protects them. The commercial showed them hitting the shoe against more nails like 10-15 of them, that’s why your test was better👍

The sidewall is the weak-point of the shoe because of the shank coverage. In the center of the shoe there is either a fiberglass, or steel shank that helps it hold its form and is puncture resistant, but it won’t cover the side of the shoe.
I’m slightly disappointed these shoes never made it into the freeze dryer.
