I saw Tatiana years ago on a small Canadian show called Instant Star... I thought then that girl is talented and she’s going to go somewhere... years later she’s winning an Emmy and I’m watching her perform astoundingly on Broadway in NYC.. expect big things from her.

I love how much surprised and humble she is. No one else was surprised though, anyone who saw the stupendous performance she gave in EVERY SINGLE EPISODE of OB could doubt for a second that she was going to win all the awards.

Man, as if I didn't love this gal enough already for her sheer talent. Then she has to turn around and be an absolute sweetheart who is genuinely grateful for all those around her who have contributed to her success on the show etc. It's so rare to see that. She's amazing!

I've watched the full run of "Orphan Black" and was expecting her to speak with a British accent. She continues to amaze me! Shame she wasn't even nominated for an Emmy, but unfortunately the show is almost completely under their radar.

It seems all the celebrities in the audience do not know who she is, and they don't give a damn. But, they don't know that Tatiana Maslany is a keeper .
I'm very pleased by this...
Not only did she richly deserve this, but the guy who plays her foster brother deserves a Best Support Actor award. I saw them in an interview & he's nothing like his character.
That said, while she was charming in her speech, mostly Maslany delivered the usual laundry list of thankyous, right down to her hairdresser. I'd have hoped for something different.
If the Emmies recognize her it'll start to make up for their snubbing Buffy/Gellar.

I've come to the conclusion that the reason why there's only a smattering of applause for Tatiana from the crowd not at the ORPHAN BLACK table is because all of those people when they're not looking at themselves in a mirror they are busy watching television where you don't have to use your brain, like Reality TV and 'Scandal.' ORPHAN BLACK is a thinking person's TV show.
