    Reflective light same value as mid-tone? I don't think so. All values in the shadow have lower value than the ones in the light. Sorry this is bad advice mate.

      I’m not sure if I said that. I think I said “it looks to be the same value.” However- what you say is 100% true. And to be clear, Reflective light that comes from the same light source will ALWAYS be darker than your mid-tones. No if ands or buts about it. Also things change if there are multiple lights, but this is outside the scope of this video.
