This is probably one of the best Toaru OP/ED reactions I've ever seen, you really pay attention to what's going on and make a lot of good guesses!!! Also pretty funny LOL
47:50 I never really watched the show. But the girl who is main character of Railgun literally destroyed best female character polls for light novels like 10 years straight. I just remember she was top 1 almost every year as the best female light novel character. This is talking about ALL light novels. I don't know her personality but she must be damn good to achieve that.
Reasons I like her: 1- Tsundere 2 - It's not a conventional tsundere like Taiga or Loise who is constantly attacking Mc for idiotic reasons. I mean, she even tries but our Mc cancels her attacks almost every time. Which creates a good dynamic between them in this type of trope scene. What did I expect from Asta and Noelle, that pumped-up dwarf trained a lot and couldn't dodge that water-using tsundere's attacks just once? . Misaka is also more honest with herself than a conventional tsundere. 3 - good character evolution 4 - She doesn't play the role of a completely useless girl who only exists to be saved by Mc. 5 - most creative electrical power in anime.
1:55 Fun fact: Shizuku Yaegashi's character design in Arifureta which you consider as your best girl on that series was inspired by that Samurai Girl you like, Kaori Kanzaki. 🔥🔥
The reason why people are more excited about the spin-offs than the main storyline is basically because for some reason, out of all 3 anime, they adapted Index the worst. They cut a lot of important things and MC's inner monologues, which completely removed his depth, and we didn't get future Index seasons where the MC shines the most. And the reason why there are spin-offs in this verse is basically due to the importance of almost every character in this series. Even though we see the MC the most, he is not the center of the universe and shit still happens without him being around.
Tbh I'm still sorta impressed because I liked Index season 1 still. Fingers crossed it gets more seasons. If it happened for Blue Exorcist, it can happen for this
It's part of it, but I think the bigger reason is because Railgun centers around four girls that the central male audience are sexually attracted to, as much as they'll deny it up and down. That makes it much easier to watch and get emotionally invested in.
@@ponytonitenews2953 ???? nope the adaptation of railgun is simply superior to index. Sexually attracted to? Railgun even had less fanservice than index, heck the main heroine use a freakin shorts instead of pantsu.
@@nanotsuki This is basically my argument: Your argument for why A Certain Scientific Railgun is more popular than A Certain Magical Index centers on its fanservice appeal, simplified storytelling, and evolutionary-based definitions of sexuality and fanservice. Here’s a summary: More Fanservice Through Female-Centric Focus: Railgun offers more fanservice simply by having a central female cast. From an evolutionary standpoint, visual exposure to females is inherently engaging for male viewers, providing a baseline "sexual" appeal that doesn’t rely solely on traditional fanservice like revealing scenes. Railgun delivers constant, low-level fanservice by consistently focusing on female characters, whereas Index lacks this continuous appeal due to its mixed-gender cast. Greater Popularity Among Male Audience: This inherent fanservice aligns perfectly with Railgun’s predominantly male, heterosexual audience, who are evolutionarily predisposed to find interest in viewing female characters. This natural visual attraction, combined with periodic traditional fanservice, makes Railgun more captivating for its central audience than Index. Simplified and Accessible Storytelling: Railgun also benefits from a more straightforward storyline, making it easier to follow and reducing cognitive demands on viewers. Without the complexity of Index’s multi-layered plot and large ensemble cast, Railgun maintains consistent audience engagement through character-driven appeal and accessible story arcs. By combining continuous visual appeal with a simple narrative, Railgun better satisfies its target demographic’s interests, explaining its popularity advantage over Index. I think it's a perfectly valid hypothesis.
@@ponytonitenews2953 why are you even changing your previous reply to this essay. What i argue is you put so large emphasis on sex appeal on your previous statement that i'm baffled when Railgun doesn't even have more fanservice shot compared to Index. Index suffer a lot from bad adaption and super bad pacing. Like you yourself said Index is the more complex one (which is offcourse because it's literally the main story where all the side story collide) hence the way they adapting the anime is not working.

That being said though, I personally think this series is right up your alley so im excited! Oh by the way, unlike the index anime, railgun has an incredible adaptation
Its great seeing the EDs also being covered! I highly recommend checking out the OPs & EDs for Macross Frontier (especially the EDs), Nanoha (including the movies EDs) and also Symphogear in the future!
The live action fripside video for Railgun is prettey cool too. Interestingly, Railgun is not a followup to Index, they take place simultaneously, and both series alternated seasons, so the creators expected viewers would watch Index 1, Railgun 1, Index 2, Railgun 2, Index 3, Railgun 3, etc. (more or less) if you want to make sense of things. Accelerator follows later in the sequence.
The magic system is heavily based on real world religion, specifically Hermeticism (essentially heretical Christian magic, to oversimpliy), as well as norse mythology, Shinto, as well as basically every religious magic system under the sun. This is in contrast to the rest of the fantasy genre which is based more on JRR Tolkien and D&D. I reccommend doing some research on Qabbalistic magick and the important figures and organisations thereof to get a bit of extra enjoyment out of this. Even the science side is based off of real world ”parapsychology” (basically psychic pseudoscience), so reading up on that might also spice it up a little. Basically, I’d say a summation of the serioes might be something like ”what if superstition and pseudoscience was actually real”.
There seem to be one main misunderstanding in the reaction but index ,accelerators and railgun all take place at the same time they don't take place one after the other
Toaru basically means "A Certain" . There is actually a right order to watch the three series (Kind of not aware as I watched all separately 😅😅) All the events happening in all these three are actually at the same time or close to each other . For example events from Season 1 of Railgun happen before Season 1 of Index and then Season 1 of Index has events happening kind of at the same time as Season 2 of Railgun . I think the reason sequel of Index , Railgun has more attention is actually for two reasons . Reason 1 is kind of because of Railgun having a better animation . Reason 2 is actually because Index has kind of done the same light novel skip content stuff a lot . So understanding something or some character's or even powers can get a bit complicated (especially because the powers are already a bit complicated . On the other hand Railgun has easy to understand powers and they explain them in a good way too and at the same time as it is a sequel , the story\plot moves faster with questions getting answers faster . btw if you don't know Index has yet to finish (Season 3 isn't its last season , far from it) But sadly there has been in information regarding season 4 some time now . The story can be fun . But can be a bit slow sometimes (starts slow too) but at sometimes it can be really amazing as hell . if you don't know the white haired character is voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto who has voice acted Bakugo from MHA , Genya from Demon Slayer , Karma from Assassination Classroom , Garfiel from Re; Zero , Khun from Tower of God etc . And believe me when I say this , this is character has his BEST voice acting moments . The screeches , the laugh , the craziness...this voice actor honestly really should have lost his voice doing this character's voice .
Misaka was (idk if she is still) very famous in LN community. Like she dominated favorite character polls for 10 years. Only My Railgun is also like the most favorite OP of all time in JP community.
Okay, I Don't know how deep the light novels go, but I know it's pretty damn deep. Also the main guy, touma, goes through some shit that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemies
Seeing your fixation on the "blond shades guy" in the early openings was funny. Dude is the GOAT fr. Definitely recommend reading the Index novels fr, they are amazing.
Misaka is not the MC in Index, it’s touma, accelerator, hamazura, and now maybe Aleister Crowley (he’s been showing up basically every volume since his arc.) However if you want to count the spin-offs then it would also include junko, kakine, misaki, misaka, and mugino (or rather the entire ITEM team, currently sitting at 3 volumes), all with their respective spin-offs.
The cool girl's pants being ripped has an actual in-lore purpose. You would be surprised how much things in the Toaru-verse actually have meaning. But there's lots of actual fanservice so there's that.
@hoangquanle3310 I miss the good old days when titles such as Kiss x Sis, Highschool DxD, etc., can be released without too much hassle. Nowadays, it's just braindead isekai titles, there's some isekai shows but the majority are just pointless in plot and characters.
Well, technically, Accell IS the main character; he's the protagonist of the esper/scientific side, while Touma is the protagonist of the magic side. Hamazura is also a protagonist on the science side, but he's kinda like represents all the level 0s, essentially, he's the protagonist for all the regular guys on the esper side.
The MC is the kind of guy that appears out of nowhere punches some godlike beings and then leaves. While everyone is surprised by his titanium balls and luck.
A bit of info there are three main factions in the series the magic side(nuns, alchemist, magic gods etc. doesnt matter if their allied with each other) , science side(espers, normal humans that have weapons against espers, spies etc. same with magic side doesnt matter if their allied with each other) then theres Toma side where almagation of his friends from both side that he wont let get hurt because oh boy youll see your face to his fist if you do
I like how Index ending was focus more on Index view. That's author way to make sure people don't forget that Index is the reason this masterpiece been created.
I actually enjoyed Index a bit more, the reason why people like Railgun more because it's easier to understand. I just watch enough science and want some occult stuff more. If I have to vote which one I like the most I can clearly say Index
if you're going to progessively watching this series it'll be around index & railgun with if you have a clue that will happen in accelarator so if you feel that you missing something, you can watch railgun so in the end, the whole watching index will be clear to you that'll be my point without giving spoilers
Truth be told, I will watch reactions to it, but the first 1.5-2 seasons are a piece of work! Best watch order would probably be Index 1 and 2 then Railgun 1 and 2 then maybe Accelerator and then the 3rds of Index and Railgun, but nothing matters, if like for most the watching stops somewhere at the beginning And honestly big probs to picking up stuff so easily, you could probably skip the trash start to begin with the good stuff and just assume backwards, but that also destroy the experience so idk.

> This girls terrifies me She's literally one of the derpiest characters in the entire series. I think an easy way to explain the popularity between Index, Railgun and Accelerator can be boiled down simply to. Index's director for all 3 seasons hasn't been doing a great job. It's focused on magic, which can feel kinda all over the place sometimes in the anime since there's not as much time to explain lore and specifics. Railgun's director for all 3 of its seasons has been doing stellar job. It's focused on science based abilities, which make more sense, are utilised in more creative ways, and is generally a more coherent single throughline story. Accelerator has only had a single season that was kinda alright at best. Also the girl flipping skirts, Saten, is best girl. And no, the skirt flipping is not restricted to OVAs. She's a serial skirt flipper.
1:20:04 This little girl is...in a sort of way...could be considered as his daughter. At least that's how he treats her. And he'll wipe out (literally!) anyone who tries to hurt or harm her.
This show has in true 4 protagonists, but i cant'say the last cause is spoiler but, to describe the characters i can say the following: Toaru index protagonist:BROKEN, the one that can crush all the illusions Accelerator: the supreme GOAT Railgun: the TRUE LIGHTNINGMASTER
Railgun = kind of like a Japanese schoolgirl cyberpunk version of the X-men. I think Railgun's popularity may be due to Index's best story arc being the one featuring the Railgun characters and retold there - . So if you watch Railgun, some feel you get the best part of Index without the filler (though you do miss some cool side characters).

However he can now also destroy attacks with his reflection using imaginary vector calculations, and destroy energy and matter completely, by destroying the very concept of the attack by it's laws or principles. They are not even in the same ballpark, Gojo can basically just keep things from reaching his body, and Accelerator can send things away, destroy them, or manipulate them how he sees fit.
@@Zegin17 yea, true. Ik their powers aren’t the same, what I was trying say was that they still are slightly similar, but only slightly.
I also agree that Gojo and accelerator aren’t the same, I was trying to explain the point the comment was trying to make.
1:26:18 The thing is, it's just not that good of an adaptation 😭 The index anime can still be a lot of fun if you like the concepts (they come from absolute peak source material after all), but if it doesn't really grab you then it can be hard to look past the adaptation's shortcomings. That being said though, I personally think this series is right up your alley so im excited!
Oh by the way, unlike the index anime, railgun has an incredible adaptation
'ALL HE DOES IS RUNS!?!!!' This is hilarious its so true xD
Its great seeing the EDs also being covered! I highly recommend checking out the OPs & EDs for Macross Frontier (especially the EDs), Nanoha (including the movies EDs) and also Symphogear in the future!
this is dope reaction bro
BRO I JUST OPENED RUclips TO SEE IT ANYONE HAS REACTED TO THESE AND THIS IS THE 3RD VIDEO I SEE NO WAYYYYY
Accelerator is the OG Gojo and much more OP
Facts
Gojo wouldn't stand a chance against Accelerator
Every OP sung by Fripside are my fav ❤❤
Yo, this makes the series even more dope now. 🔥🔥🔥
Yes finally... Been waiting for this😊
Been ages since I last came across someone who looked up the toaru stuff. Railgun was great
The Singer of the 3rd Season Majutsu no Index has passed away Maon Kurosaki, R.I.P
ITS HERE ITS HERE ITS HERE!!!
Ey nice hell yeah. Cant wait for it man, hope you will also do the rest of the "midraildex" lol.
Us toaru fans are eating good tonight
Just so you know that bald guy's name is Heaven Canceler as just how good as a doctor he is
he got shades figured out
I've been waiting for this since it's been anounced.
Okay, I Don't know how deep the light novels go, but I know it's pretty damn deep. Also the main guy, touma, goes through some shit that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemies
cant wait to hear what cawcaw says when he hears Kuroko's VA
28:22 He is the true number 1. He is Kakine Teitoku. He is him. 🛐
i love tsuchimikada(glasses blonde hair guy) too! his personal is very interesting
I can't wait for YT upload 😅
The Best Light Novel Series of All Time 👑
And The Worst Anime Adaptation of All Time.
RIP Kurosaki Maon, Memories Last was the best ED out there
prolly watch release order, railgun takes place before and during s1 and s2 of index
Seeing your fixation on the "blond shades guy" in the early openings was funny. Dude is the GOAT fr. Definitely recommend reading the Index novels fr, they are amazing.
username checks out, based Tsuchimikado fan
Holy shit it’s oomf
mc power is super cardio, running nonstop
the Toaru Series have 3 MCs..... technically
-Index/Touma as a pair makes the first MC
-Railgun is 2nd MC
-Accelerator is 3rd MC (antihero)
Hamazura’s also an MC lmao
Misaka is not the MC in Index, it’s touma, accelerator, hamazura, and now maybe Aleister Crowley (he’s been showing up basically every volume since his arc.) However if you want to count the spin-offs then it would also include junko, kakine, misaki, misaka, and mugino (or rather the entire ITEM team, currently sitting at 3 volumes), all with their respective spin-offs.
Peak Toaru 🗿
PEAK IS COMING🗿🗿🗿
I havent watched toaru but maybe the blackhair spiky guy is the one called accelerator cause of the amount of time he runs on this opennings🗿
his power is imagine breaker, negate all supernatural things, powers or whatever
Nah Accelerator's the white haired dude
@@Ysmir_of_north_star I think he was joking, because he keeps running = accelerating.
The only j.c, staff product that's really good, idk how many time i rewatch index
Bakuman says hello
Toaru Series is the best man, still crave to watch the whole series
The cool girl's pants being ripped has an actual in-lore purpose. You would be surprised how much things in the Toaru-verse actually have meaning.
But there's lots of actual fanservice so there's that.
This series is made in the early 2000s, where this kind of fanservice is more prominent.
@hoangquanle3310 I miss the good old days when titles such as Kiss x Sis, Highschool DxD, etc., can be released without too much hassle. Nowadays, it's just braindead isekai titles, there's some isekai shows but the majority are just pointless in plot and characters.
@@FreinHowe These have fanservice but also heart and great stories. Don't they?
@@FreinHowe If you see:
1. A university research paper of a title
2. "Reincarnated as..."
3. "...in another world"
Pack it up. :((
PEAK
in case you forgot, this mc is one of those characters with high numbers of harem.. almost at the end of the list too 😂
13:04 Clone girls, huh…
the joke of Touma always running while seeming powerless is funny.
Touma's power is the gender equality punch.
To Aru letsgoooo!
Rip Maon Kurosaki tho 😭
Well, technically, Accell IS the main character; he's the protagonist of the esper/scientific side, while Touma is the protagonist of the magic side. Hamazura is also a protagonist on the science side, but he's kinda like represents all the level 0s, essentially, he's the protagonist for all the regular guys on the esper side.
😂 13:13 no that's not the mc, that's my boy Banka and the rest of SCHOOL lol
The MC is the kind of guy that appears out of nowhere punches some godlike beings and then leaves. While everyone is surprised by his titanium balls and luck.
A bit of info there are three main factions in the series the magic side(nuns, alchemist, magic gods etc. doesnt matter if their allied with each other) , science side(espers, normal humans that have weapons against espers, spies etc. same with magic side doesnt matter if their allied with each other) then theres Toma side where almagation of his friends from both side that he wont let get hurt because oh boy youll see your face to his fist if you do
To be fair... Accelerator IS the MC on season 3... mostly.
İ love Toaru Kagaku no Accelerator anime the most for others anime
I like how Index ending was focus more on Index view. That's author way to make sure people don't forget that Index is the reason this masterpiece been created.
Bro.. It's fun to see your reaction.. Thanks!
The hype is real!
I miss Early 2000's Anime they hit hard :D
That girl be like why attack that can melt through metal doesn’t work against a god also she try to fight multiverse level and get cook every time
I actually enjoyed Index a bit more, the reason why people like Railgun more because it's easier to understand. I just watch enough science and want some occult stuff more. If I have to vote which one I like the most I can clearly say Index
That's great. The best way to enjoy Index is the LNs, since the anime does a terrible job adapting it.
if you're going to progessively watching this series
it'll be around index & railgun with if you have a clue that will happen in accelarator
so if you feel that you missing something, you can watch railgun
so in the end, the whole watching index will be clear to you
that'll be my point without giving spoilers
hyped to see your reaction
I really think that no one can trully understand the Sisters without watching the show, but he still had good ideas about them.
What? So now you react toaru kagaku no railgun? Alright, i'll subscribe
He understands index properly, accelerator is the goat
Buena reaccion, grasias al poder de los subtitulos de yt pude saver tu opinion jajaj
Railgun and accelerator happens during season 1 of index actually
Truth be told, I will watch reactions to it, but the first 1.5-2 seasons are a piece of work!
Best watch order would probably be Index 1 and 2 then Railgun 1 and 2 then maybe Accelerator and then the 3rds of Index and Railgun, but nothing matters, if like for most the watching stops somewhere at the beginning
And honestly big probs to picking up stuff so easily, you could probably skip the trash start to begin with the good stuff and just assume backwards, but that also destroy the experience so idk.
at what hours do you stream on twitch?
In my timezone, He streams between 10-11 am UTC+8 everyday. Sometimes he streams early, he does inform us the time when he'll go live so don't worry much.
@@higanarua thanks
@@higanaruaI personally can only watch his streams on weekened because in my time zone, he streams early in the morning and that is when I have to get to work.
Omg i miss toaru series ❤❤
> This girls terrifies me
She's literally one of the derpiest characters in the entire series.
This show has in true 4 protagonists, but i cant'say the last cause is spoiler but, to describe the characters i can say the following:
Toaru index protagonist:BROKEN, the one that can crush all the illusions
Accelerator: the supreme GOAT
Railgun: the TRUE LIGHTNINGMASTER
Railgun = kind of like a Japanese schoolgirl cyberpunk version of the X-men. I think Railgun's popularity may be due to Index's best story arc being the one featuring the Railgun characters and retold there - . So if you watch Railgun, some feel you get the best part of Index without the filler (though you do miss some cool side characters).
Aw hell nah Sisters is FAR from the best arc in the Index LNs.
@@hoangquanle3310 Certainly. Though the version in Railgun is very good as well.
@@aqrxv Railgun's version of Sister's Arc is better. But Index has much better arcs action, character, and narrative-wise.
The main idea of the series: the main character beats girls, many girls.
ps, well, as we see from the openings, he runs a lot
