This is there normal mic. The editor usually adjusts the volume levels to make them sound normal
sometimes the mics can slip slowly out of sync, and the editor will adjust them. that’s why it sounds like cogger has some reverb on his voice, it’s because there is a duplicate of his voice slightly out of time.
they all use individual mics... so there might be echo from each other's voice.

Honestly the raw content is really good, it's kind of an in-between for gameplay content and podcast episodes. I don't think I'd want it to replace the edited videos but I'd definitely like to see more

I agree with Zack's take on the difference between content creators who are elite at the game and those who are not elite. People watch gaming videos for entertainment. Watching someone be insanely good is entertaining. However, if you are not elite at the game you need to make up for it. A common way of that is using commentary to keep people interested.
The underdogs always have the most awful arguments about octopus intelligence and brains is basically a staple of this channel

If i'm not mistaken, octopi have one main brain in their head while each arm has a brain of it's own, as scientists have observed amputated legs trying to catch food and bring them to a non-existent mouth

I think these are the best videos, basically a podcast with also gameplay it’s entertaining in multiple ways👍🏻
I enjoy the unedited content. Some of the best times me and my mates have are just chatting idly while playing smash. Even if the conversation might not be riveting at all times, it's those lulls that makes the highs that much more impactful. Cutting out every pause and silence to get to the "best parts" makes it less authentic and a bit too perfect and fast-paced. It's nice to just hang out and enjoy the whole conversation as it would happen. Besides, half the stuff you guys mention "cutting out" are parts that I quite enjoyed and would have missed otherwise. It's not always easy to tell what parts the audience would like.
Since I was actually asked to comment, I really enjoyed this type of video! I feel a lot of times that some of your themed smash videos are too short, so this was really enjoyable!
