- A fair few P38 owners are now facing the issue where the keyfob remotes have stopped working. New fobs means a BECM out and expense. Everything else works, just no central locking. Here we fit a third party control module.

Hi, great video and I am looking to fit the same mod to my car. I would though be greatly appreciative if you could provide more detail on the connections you made on the out station. It is not 100% clear from the video and if at all possible a photo with arrows showing the connection points would be really useful. Also I would like to have the alarm activated so is there some way we could have a discussion on what actions are needed to get he alarm to arm/disarm? I am located in Australia.
Sorry but everything including the car is now long gone along with all my spares :(

Hi, thanks for great video, i am thinking of doing the same to my p38 (oem fob fell in water) i am wondering how to make the alarm work when locked with the remote, will either be micro switches give a single (12v) once the door is locked or unlocked or they will give a constant open or closed circuit if the door is either locked or unlocked? If it is scenario 1 I think I have figured it out, it will also still be possible to lock from the remote and unlock from the door key and the other way around right?
I ultimately gave up on the micro switches. They aren't as simple as lock and unlock. IIRC it is more along the lines 'lock did something' and 'direction'. Hitting the relay directly as I did doesn't arm/disarm the alarm and a few diodes will take care of that.
@@rtechlab6254 Could you explain where to put the diodes? im trying this out for myself. what wire?

Short answer, I dont know. In theory if the transponder in the key still works it should be ok. Mine long since gave up

Check connections behind the kick panel by your feet on that side. If that doesn't help take the door cards off and swap the outstations over and see if the fault follows the outstation
@@rtechlab6254 OK my friend I will check the connector tomorrow and I will give you the feed back I have fit the wirles remote on the driver door and it works fine but the rest of doors not opening or closing with it
I got engine disabled massage on the dash but it seem the security been bypass I bought the car used
I have passive immobilisation off, I had loads of key issues and that was the only solution as I was having to use the EKA almost every time. I'd suggest that not having all the doors locking *could* be a lock switch issue. The problem is that we are commanding the door to close not the BECM, I think this needs a revisit to tie up some loose ends.
@@rtechlab6254 thank you Rtech I notes as I connect the battery all doors will close except the driver door not respond but when I have fitted the new keyless remote as your video driver door start to lock and unlock and the rest off the door not responding with it so maybe wiring issue or bad bcm I thank no signal goes to bcm to command the locking and unlocking
Hi my friend I have found the issue of the driver door it was one wire snap on loom go's through the rubber between the door to inside car body thank you Rtech for your help now every thing works fine 👍
