***** I came across this video when you first released it, and came back today out of nostalgia. You have an incredible eye for shots and distance compression to get a feel of a wartime camera operator. You capture the feel of combat in the game that few others manage. As a PS1 vet, and a PS2 wannabe (no time, but I'll get better one day, I swear), my hat's off to you for this piece.

Awesome video. If I weren't already in PS2 this would have convinced me. Reminds me of the video that got me into PS1 where someone set in-game footage to Bring Me To Life. Except you've got a far more apropos choice for the audio track. The WWII(?) broadcasts mesh well with the game footage and is just stunning.

Holy shit, this makes me wish the game came with a "wartime journalist" class.
They'd be light armor with jetpacks that had an extended flight time, multiple lens options instead of guns (maybe a sidearm for emergencies), and deployable GoPros that you could also attach to vehicles and infantry...

Editing was perfect. Timing with the sound track was very very well done. Camera work was good. I'm not a huge fan of extreme close ups but you plays its point. Personally wish you had more "smooth" rail work liek on the ATV... but getting a good FPS is hard right now.
That first CGI trailer they put out with the Light Assault shooting down Galaxies was shown from the perspective of the NC, hence the NC are the "good guys." That's why.
Also, their MBT's look the most like traditional tanks out of the three.

In game footage with amazing after effects.
Using things like nVidia inspector and various tweaks found around the interwebs you can usually get a little better graphics quality, usually in the form of removing a color filter (like BF3) and making it nice and crisp.
I want to see a two hour long movie of this. So much.

I know lol, i just watched the SOE Live presentation video, they had literally a minute of footage showing "emergent gameplay" in planetside 2 that consisted of 4 guys sitting behind a rock. Nothing happening, no tank column passing through, no liberator wave, no mad dash to defend, no attack, nothing.
If they wanna show planetside 2, then bloody just show the god damn gameplay!! It's amazing as it is, how they can manage to find the most uneventful footage for official display is astounding.

I remember in Planetside 2 I forget the place but I had an amazing tank battle when both teams had tanks and we all battled for control over a bridge there was 15+ tanks on each side and we fired back and forth with the engineers running everywhere to the tanks aid... It was a glorious battle... too bad it ended.

I was in this battle in indar trying to capture a vanu sovereignty base.There were tanks on my side shooting at the base,but the vanu striked backed with rocket launchers,Harassers,sunderers,and those ATVs.To bad my team lost the battle.
I was in the NC.
except that planetside 2's official trailer is the most badass cinematic EVER!!!!

I resently started play this game an now i found this trailer, boy am i glad that this video was made from the old beta cause atm (in the latest updates) no animations on the aircrafts works (as at 0:54 where the wing "jetboosters" rotate)
But i must say i'm am stunned as to how well this is put together and how it shows Planetside 2 at it's best! very very nice indeed! i'm a bit of a moviemaker my self (nothing at all compared to this) but if u ever need an actor (maybe a pilot ) i'm ready!
