It looks like it has always been like this, congrats! I can wait to see the inside! I was afraid the windows would not be the same, but they are...phew!
It's looking good, like its always been a part of the original structure, and that's a good thing! Looking forward to the next video, finishing the inside.
If you use fresh wood it will shrink and you will have to repaint part of the wall since you did not paint all the first layer of the planks. Good luck 👍🏻
There are a few signs that shows you’re not from Sweden … I was curious about the roof construction for starters. And when you put the cladding on the walls you didn’t create any ventilation between that and the wind membrane. And you use screws everywhere. Do a quick comparison of the prices between screws and nails next time you go to the shop and you’ll quickly understand why we use nails and not screws in construction. But the extension looks nice, and the little house will definitly be liveable when it’s done. I just hooe you won’t have any moisture issues in the walls caused by the cladding boards put directly up against the wind membrane. Keep it up, and I’ll keep watching!
I guess what I really meant to convey with that comment is that you should pick up some knowledge about Swedish building codes before you go any further … that might save you a lot of grief in the future. If, for instance, you have to tear the roof off due to water damage and the insurance company inspector concludes that it wasn’t built to code, you might not get anything out of the insurance but have to carry all the costs yourself. I know a few others have already critisized you about these things, but there definitly are good points being made. I hope you’ll try to stop and do things a bit different before you go to far in the project, so you don’t have to do it all over again in a few years. Good luck with the continued builds, I’ll be happy to watch your upcoming videos.
Well, I would not recommend composting the cardboard and wood on the site of the future garden. Decaying those two removes nitrogen from the soil, which plants need to grow, so the soil loses its fertility. To compensate for this, leguminous plants, such as clover, should be grown in the area of the future garden in the first year .. or you gonna need a few loads of manure from a local farmer. If you want to say thank you for this tip .. no problem .. I can appreciate that 😉✌

interesting journey your on. I like to watch, looking good!..- Please skip playing the music all the time, partly playing it will go a long way (if you like us to watch ..) 😊😉
Ground membrane will only separate materials of different sort. It is only a matter of time before weeds grow through so... I wouldn't bother. A layer of newspapers will do a better job actually and just become part of the soil eventually.
@@tortap Nonsense weeds dont grow through a proper ground membrane that's why it is used . What you might get is weed flower build up from airbourne sources landing on your patch. In this case it is not rooted and can be pulled out. Clearly you have never used this material ......
Nice thing about Sweden, you don't have to worry about finding the right shade of red paint.
If you only knew, there must be at lest 50 shades of red here 😂
Bon travail 👍

Thanks! The window was already used in the old kitchen so we're glad we could just use it.
Hello from New York what a lovely property can’t wait to keep up the renovations with you. Good luck and good health and Sweden.
Thank you for your kind message!

Greetings from your Norwegian neighbours! We really love watching this series. :)
Greetings! Do you mean our actual neighbours or country neighbours?😉
Oh, didn't mean to sound creepy lol! I meant country neighbours :) 😄@@buildaway
Oh no. Not creepy. It's just we really do have Norwegian neighbours, which would be a funny coincidence

Noted! Thanks.
Since this is a few months after the actual recording; have you put up gutters on the new part of the roof?
Yep. Up and running!
A ground membrane would have been far better option to lay down first to stop invasive w.eeds and it's not expensive.
Hi! We are planning on making raised garden beds with the ground membrane on the bottom
