So I wonder now, would they have a chance to get a survivor ID-Switch?

Those hunters who are basically gods or Deities are either someone who are impersonating them (like how Arthur byers is believed to be impersonating Hastur), or real gods themselves. It is still unknown, even the source I read myself (Erishark, if you want to Google it) still uncertain about what those things are. So I doubt they would get an identity switch. Maybe let me dig deeper into the lore and I can add up my own theory. I hope the answer is satisfactory 🙏

I noticed that the baron invited him to a game filled with rich people, Alice is the only one not rich but she has a good life, and Norton just came after the everyone at this point. Which js crazy
well I couldn't really say that Alice has a good life. She had her parents murdered and got loathed by everyone, got to undergo experiments and stuffs. But aside of that, I agree that Alice is not that rich.

About the woman he was allegedly sent to assassinate, while there's a lot of room to believe that it is indeed Melly, I don't think it would make sense. Their respective lore don't show any connections to each other, and I wonder why the heck somebody would want Melly dead lol. In my opinion it may actually be Alice because of the reasons you pointed out, which would make more sense. As for the aftermath, my personal thought is that... Norton probably died. I mean getting beat up till you bleed, and a huge fire? That is more than enough to end someone's life. So I feel a little sad because there's a huge probability that he did not survive :( I've always been waiting for Norton's hunter identity! Did you know they were planning this since the beta version of the game along with Melly?! After 5 years it's FINALLY HERE and I am beyond hyped for AoM chapter 2!
Well, hunter Norton was hinted as far as November 2021, years after the beta release. Maybe NetEase already planned but publish it little by little, idk. And for the woman that becomes his target, I think Melly is only used as a bait to make Norton aggressive. People believed it is Melly because of Norton hatred toward the rich, and that Melly is rich. Alice, on the other hand, is not rich because she cannot even pay much to interview Norton (2022 Norton letter). But let's see how the story will go in AoM 2

Imagine if Mind's Eye as a hunter Her hunter name is "Blind Hunt" Abilities: Echo Shock wave: Can be casted into a single survivor and stun them for 0.5 seconds. Electric Blitz:Cast in a straight line and do chip damage. Traits Powerful Hearing: you can see survivors bejind walls(15 sec cooldown) Anti-Decoding:she is a decoder herself, and she can decipher a cipher machine and reset its progress only ONCE. Hope you like my idea!
I think he was for a moment a stuff in a game. I don’t know if someone saw it, but when Alice was tied to the chair during AOM2 I saw Norton near that chair too. But maybe it was Orpheus.
Orphy lost his memory due to the drugs after the manor game ended, so he didn't remember anything about Alice, until he visited the manor again years later. As for Norton, it is currently unknown what happened to him, so I don't know much

Then, he became a private detective that is not really popular, until he was commissioned by someone named James Reinbach to look for his missing daughter in the old manor. There, he start to regain his memories again

First i thought norton was an asshole in don't look back, then i got to see him as a victim and only an asshole in orphy's perspective... and now he's definitely an asshole, since alice is one of the few sane persons there
I never saw Norton as an asshole personally haha. Knowing his backstory and watching Fool's Gold trailer, I really feel a lot of sympathy for him. He's just human, he's poor and wants to get out of this situation like anyone else at the time.
What if..Who Norton had to kill was actually alice? So Melly was trying to rescue alice from Orpheus who was seen as a hunter, so Norton hit Melly Cuz she was being problematic with the goal of killing alice?
There is a theory of that, since Alice knows his background and probably about the cave incident too. But since AoM 2 hasn't got any continuation, we can just speculate
There is a fifth type of hunter in game btw: Survivors who get punished due to their misbehaviour such as hell ember. Ember became hunter because he didnt write his diary.

Its heavily implied in the Arnold show that he stepped out of the line just to put back down by other hunters such as guard 26, geisha and gamekeeper. In the jukebox episode Arnold's happy face turned into shock when smiley tried to shut off the jukebox just to be put back into the line by bon bon. He also got put down by Bane multiple times. However Arnold didnt live this problem with Hell ember in the episode that Leo tried cleaning himself. In fact his movements and Leo's movements were even syncd. You implied that Leo's will was completely destroyed so I wouldnt be suprised if this Arnold guy is the mastermind behind the death game.

I heard if new chapter will be released, it wont be a game, sad. But i still wait for beach episode, if it didnt come out yet You can play some other games from Freebird like The mirror lied, Do you remember my lullaby and my favorite Quintessense: The Blighted Venom. Last 2 are sad too. And game from Laura Shigihara Rakuen(it made me cry, i didnt expect that). I started to notice that I find people with same favorite games/anime/etc. Like, in idv chat i once said the guy had nickname from Houseki no Kuni and half chat was filled with messages of fans(this anime/manga is pretty niche, but in TikTok comments is the same thing) Okay, i said a lot, its just so interesting and pleasantly

I personally think that the task of eliminating Melly is just a lure to get Norton into the game and to make the game running, as he despise the rich, and Melly is considered to be rich. But honestly, the reason could be anything. Hopefully the story between the two is revealed more in AoM 2
