I'm still waiting for my copy :) but I did receive the new slipcase edition of Lord of the Rings with Alan Lee's illustration and I feel it is a better version than the 50th Anniversary edition which I also have because it doesn't have Alan's illustration and that the paper quality feels more superior. I also finished reading the Folio edition of Beowulf just a couple of days ago which I enjoyed very much so I can't wait and compare these 2 books...maybe you can do a comparison video in the future? The Folio edition sure is nice though as it almost feels like a cheaper LE with the leather binding and thick papers.
Thanks for sharing! You have a lovely collection I'm building my own and someday (when I'm out of school and have my first home office) would love to start a leather collection though I do have some of the B&N leatherbound classics but I'm not too fond of the colors and designs.
Hey, can you tell me why the stock image shows a different spine to the actual book? Trying to collect these all and it's making it real confusing. Thanks!
